I snagged 27 BASEBALLS at Yankee Stadium!

- I have NEVER seen anything like this. It felt like the Oakland A's were trying to get rid of all their baseballs. Dustin Hughes, the team's bullpen catcher, is the NICEST guy -- he threw me 17 balls over the course of the day! Yes, that's a record, and yes it was ridiculous. And then he also gave me the lineup card. Oh, and one of the balls was a game home run hit by Jordan Diaz.
As I mentioned in the video, all the baseballs that I snag this season at MLB games are raising money for a charity to help kids play ball. It's called Pitch In For Baseball & Softball, and if you donate, you'll have a chance to win some cool prizes. Here's more info about the fundraiser:

Huge shoutout to Dustin Hughes and the Oakland A's for their INCREDIBLE display of generosity. People love to bash this team, but in all seriousness, this is what MLB needs -- more players and coaches who truly care about the fans/kids and are going out of their way to make things fun. ❤
In fairness, it looks like the A's and Yankees have one player each in the lineup hitting for average. I think Dustin should be negotiating the deal with Oakland for a new ballpark. You couldn't BE more despised than John Fisher is in Oakland right now, and Dustin Hughes should handle all PR as well. If you saw The Daily Woo's day at the A's Colisseum last year, he highlighted the loyal fans who all sit together, the fans' band, the real characters at that park. The Colisseum isn't fixable, due to plumbing backup and being built below sea level, but Dustin could charm the socks off of Oakland's lady mayor, and not leave those wonderful loyal fans bereft.

It's not the players fault. None of them will be playing in vegas, they will as they said in "Minor League" "sent down, traded, or given their outright release to build a better team"

Gotta love the high total, especially with how tough Yankee Stadium can be sometimes. This is also the perfect proof video for haters. Literally EVERY BALL was given away! And the proceeds benefit an AMAZING charity with PIFB which only grows the sport of baseball!!!
And this was filmed before all the haters decided to jump down my throat, so I wasn't trying to "prove" anything -- just doing my thing.

I worked at a fast food place once and when little league teams came in I would point out the different positions each player might play. So I guessed who was the catcher, who is the pitcher, second base, short stop etc. etc. It was a fun way to interact with the team as they placed orders.
The moments always brought me back to my little league days.

Dustin Hughes gave me and my son several balls last year when they were playing the Rays, he’s so kind.. he talked with us and was giving baseballs to all the kids!

Most people don’t think about it but giving a ball to someone who’s not a little kid would probably mean a lot more because there’s a greater chance than an older fan keeps up with more of the games and will remember that moment more vividly.
