The fact that a backup QB got the offense to go against the coach’s direct play and then stand on it against the media tells me all I need to know about this team. They don’t respect their coach, you can’t build a culture this way.

I've been against the hiring of DA from the start based on how he was as a HC with the Raiders. Next, came his boy Derek Carr, the same QB drafted in 2014 with the Raiders when DA was the HC. The Saints should've hired Eric Bienemy instead of the 🤡 DA.
Personally, my wish is for the entire coaching staff and Carr to go and bring in EB and draft Jayden Daniels.

He had a financial incentive for each touchdown scored and he had none. If you could make 30k to 50k with each TD teammates were looking out. And it was only a clause in his contract because of the league leading 17 TD last year. They should've just ran a single back formation.

In this particular instance yes it was ok because it was a collective decision from the entire offense all 11 (except for maybe Taysom due to his reaction). Jameis owned up to it & handled the heat while the coach saved face with a coach who’s fired like he should have been. It is easy to defend when A) you are playing your rivals B) you are at the 1 yard line after a pick 6 that should have been C) a man who had 17 tds the year before has 0 in week 18 with a 1:00 left in the game.

But to come out in the victory formation and run it on a team that isn't even playing defense is disrespectful. It's a lack of character. Sharpe is spot on. And this nonsense about it being a "team decision" is just laughable. Winston is the QB. This was his decision...not the team. It's very simple. You accept the ball from the center and you kneel. The minute Winston decided not to do that, it was his decision...not the team. And last I checked, Winston is a backup. He is not the coach or owner and does not call the shots. And any Saints fan that think getting 9 wins out of the inferior talent they had is not a good coaching job is clueless. Simply put, your talent on your team isn't that good. Dennis Allen got everything he could out of this team. I doubt any coach in the NFL could have gotten more wins.
