New Gravity Falls Animation For 10th Anniversary REVEALED!

- Gravity Falls premiered on Disney Channel 10 years ago with the first episode, Tourist Trapped. Dipper and Mabel's summer adventures and mysteries were introduced at the Mystery Shack, and now Alex Hirsch has unveiled a new animation from Gravity Falls art director Ian Worrel!
While Gravity Falls ended its Disney Channel run on 2016, the fandom is alive today and Alex is constantly keeping the show's legacy going. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Gravity Falls, he revealed a cover of "We'll Meet Again" with Grunkle Stan, Soos, McGucket, and Bill Cipher. He also shared this beautiful 3D animation that perfectly captures the magic of the show. Thank you, Gravity Falls, for everything.

I just had a vivid flashback of how after every new episode, I’d just be anxiously awaiting your analysis of it talking about the hidden codes and new theories that they’d bring. Longtime Vail fans know. Thanks for playing a big part in my memories of watching the show when it was airing. The fandom continues to thrive!
Man those were the days! It really was something special watching these episodes as they came out. I remember being on the edge of my seat during the weirdmagedon episodes and doing the same thing you are talking about. As soon as an episode was done I would watch theory videos about like for example who the author was, why Old Man McGucket knew so much, etc. Those theory videos were how I discovered Vail. And speaking of the author I remember how CRAZY it was to discover that (spoilers but it's been 10 years) the author was Stan's twin brother all along!

I remember his videos used to be narrated through text and not voice over. Me and my sister would always adjust the video settings so we could read his theories better. Ah the nostalgia!
Plus I remember there were hints dropping though the start of season 2 and I think some of season 1 that Stan had a brother

That new animation looks amazing! I'd love to have a sculpture like that, with the shack on top and the portal underneath it. Having Bill Cipher floating around it would be a nice touch.

I’ll never forget where I was when the show first premiered, so nostalgic😭😭. I would honestly kill to step inside the mystery shack. It’ll be real cool if Disney made it as a real attraction museum to continue its legacy.
It actually was going to be an attraction at Disneyland Paris. In the park, there was a walk-though attraction that closed, so Disney was trying to find a replacement. A Disney Imagineer had an idea for what the replacement should be, a Gravity Falls attraction! He thought of making a walk-through attraction of the Mystery Shack. When he presented his idea in a meeting, everyone looked at him like he was crazy and asked him a lot of dumb questions. So unfortunately, that idea was scrapped. The replacement ended up being a Star Wars section. So if you ever go to Disneyland Paris and you see the Star Wars section, that spot is where the Mystery Shack could have been. Really sad :(
@@SheWolf_Warrior Why am I not surprised🙄, It appears the Disney Exces keeps making bad decisions by not giving certain ideas a chance and doesn’t pay attention to what the fans actually wanted to experience rather than just going with something that already exist for fandom.

I will always appreciate a show like Gravity Falls, that goes in knowing exactly where it ultimately wants to go, with an end set it sight from the beginning. Yeah, Gravity Falls only lasted 2 seasons, but that's entirely by design, and it's all the better off for it. Leave the audience wanting more, don't overfeed them to the point where they don't even want to look at you anymore.

The show came out since my 9th birthday. I'm 19 now and looking at this as an adult still holds up. Hoping for another season
Seeing the animation it made me realize, we've only had "visions/dreams" of what's behind the portal. I'd seriously enjoy seeing some sort of spin off series showing what stan ford went through when he was inside the portal
Edit: i know he spoke about certain things but i meant moreso i want like a mini-series showing what he went through inside the portal because if it was traumatic to the point speaking in reverse then there must be some interesting things we could see, not to mention it'd be a breath of fresh air from no more content like that yk?

We still have questions. No one knows what's behind the portal. Also, why gravity falls had weird creatures is still not known. Also the axolotl and bill cipher's last words. I want more seasons
Remember when this channel wasn't even at the 100K mark, back when it was fully dedicated to Gravity Falls Theories & content. How far it & all of us have come. Still can't believe it was that long ago

Gravity falls music hit so different an crazy it been 10 years
I recently rewatched the show because of the tenth anniversary and it hit so much harder the second time. Plot and characters aside (cause those were already phenomenal), this show somehow manages to capture the feeling of being in the mountains during summer time. The feeling of nostalgia this show imparts on me almost makes me cry.

It’s a mutual respect of the twins and the summer memories with family even though people fight they are always there for each other Mabel and Dipper have the most magnetic connection this show shows us that life can be scary weird and hard and sad but you always have something or somebody to calm you down and help you through life and so we love this show because it tells us about their interesting lifestyle

I recall seeing TV promos for this series prior to the premiere, and it'd be a clip of a gnome/elf (somethin) barfing rainbows. Over, and over, and over. It was so cringe I passed up on watching this show for 2 years- way for Disney to undersell the show 😂 Now one of my favorite series of all time. Happy 10 years!

I would love to see dipper have his own independent show where he goes and investigates the parallel dimensions of amphibia and owl house and does interviews with the characters of the shows.
I feel like a show about Fiddleford and Ford in Gravity falls investigating stuff, and maybe everything after Fiddleford went into the portal for a few seconds for a second season, or maybe a show about Ford in the nightmare realm

Real ones remember Vails early gravity falls videos with the red and white box bubble texts, the ominous gravity falls music, and the sheet creepiness the videos gave off. 10 year old me was frightened watching them💀💀

I can't believe it's been 10 years since this show premiered,I was 18 (Now 28) and when the final episode aired in 2016 I was already 22.
As i said in another 10th Anniversary video: A decade ago, this show premiered on Disney Channel US, and by its humor and mysteries(idk what else to say), it got a huge amount of people watching it(I think They still watch it on Disney XD) It even preceeded Amphibia and The Owl House, the current 2 successful Disney Channel cartoons.

I should never be animated like that that. No offense to Alex, but almost anytime I'm animated or drawn in 3D,(including in the show) it looks like shit. It always makes me look to chunky in my physical form, and I think I should have been a little flatter so as not to look so chunky. The way it was done in this animation was ok though.

Alex Hirsch actually wants to make a spin-off about Stan and Ford's adventures but the Disney executives refuse to let him and instead insist that he continue writing episodes based around Dipper and Mabel which he's long since declared he wouldn't do anymore. Disney is a pain in the ass

This show has given me a place to escape when things were at my worst and I couldn't be grateful to have watched this from beginning to end. I even was hyperfixated on this show at one point. Same, I remember how bored I was the day I discovered and wondered if it was even worth to watch it but left it on anyway, I had no idea it would grow on me the way it did
