Honda has great group of engineers and design team working for them, but many if not most Honda dealerships are seriously lacking when it comes to new cars. Honda has got to figure out a way of getting a steady supply of new cars to their dealerships.
Agreed, our dealership is almost empty. However, I just don't think they have the money or pull like Ford or Toyota to keep the cars coming to dealer lots. We are waiting to see the new CRV design in person before we place an order.
That’s because there was a chip shortage since the start of the pandemic and too many people wanting to buy brand new cars and not enough supply to meet demands. However the car market bubble just burst and very soon you will see many many more brand new cars on all dealership lots and you’ll begin to start seeing attractive and handsome deals and offers once again from all the dealership’s. My buddy is an auto broker and everyday he’s starting to get more and more amazing offers and deals on brand new highly sought after cars like the Supra GR 3.0 premium, C8 Corvette Z51 package, and BMW M3 and M4 comp packs. Deals that a year or two ago would’ve never been possible.
Like most other brands, Honda cannot keep up with demand because of the chip shortage that started in 2020 and is still ongoing. For the few new cars that they can get, most of them are sold while in transit before they can even get to the lots. It’s not their fault.
@@edouble0325 well I'm sorry its not the next the NA S2000 like we all want. At least we getting this new monster of a CTR just need the specs already.
Honda is knocking it out the park with designs. I hate where the current industry is making everything too much line and distractions. I like a simple minimalistic design that is classy sporty.
I think we are back to an environment where aerodynamic drag should be the prime consideration. By and large, all the styling frills and gimmicks generate drag. Simple and clear is really a must for a low-drag car.
All my cars over the past 20 years have been Hondas. I've been looking at other EVs, but I love the brand, so I'm thinking of waiting till 2024 to trade in my HR-V for a Prologue.
I’ve owned and driven German automobiles most of my adult life. I am willing to cross over to Japanese vehicles if Honda can provide a better alternative. Japan has the talent and the capability, not sure why they’re not throwing more weight into the automotive industry so that they can earn their rightful place at the top with the rest of the quality automakers. It all remains to be seen with their EV lineup. Let’s go Honda!
I'm extremely interested in and excited for Honda to build this EV SUV! From the moment I saw the concept sketch, over a month ago, to finding out it's built on the same GM Ultium platform as the Chevy Blazer EV, so far this may be the front-runner for my next vehicle! I've had a reservation down on the Fisker Ocean for a couple of years now, but between this and the upcoming Jeep Jeepster EV, I don't see anything more appealing coming out in the next couple of years. Maybe the new VW Scout EV SUV, but otherwise, the Prologue may either be my wife's replacement for her CR-V Touring Hybrid or maybe my next car! I can't wait to see more, Honda!!!
I have a reservation for the Blazer, but definitely curious to see what Honda will deliver. Their interior tech in terms of the infotainment, driver assistance features, etc. have always been lagging behind the competition IMO, so eager to see if they make some serious advancements on those in the Prologue.
looks promising, glad to see the focus on design again, it is much needed as previous current designs are (to put it nicely) "extremely lacking", clean and simple designs look best imo, I apologize that some of our American designers have dishonored your brand with the most grotesque Hondas and Acuras I've seen in awhile, hope you guys bring back the glory days, less bloat more goat please
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video I'm in the market for an ev sport utility vehicle and this is on my list I understand according to Honda Canada it will be available here September 2023 sooner than expected
Is anyone want 2013 model CR-V to be back with Hydrogen engine ? (Interior changes are acceptable but exterior should remain same except advanced sensors, head lamps, etc..) Hats off to the designer!!!
Me too - design wise alone, I'd buy one no questions asked. Huge missed opportunity, since it was already developed with US compliance in mind. Very sad that SUVs are killing everything else.
I found it quite interesting as most of these traditional automobile maker tend to revitalize Design with EV only. I wonder why not put such new design into your non-ev? Or simply the ev market is so competitive and intense for the old guys with so many new comers jump in!
The best decision made by me was to purchase a Honda car. I just feel sad cause they don't have a good market penetration with many variety of cars in all segments. e-hev was a total bummer at time of EVs atleast this is a good car to wait for.
Now if only you could upgrade the Ridgeline's infotainment to keep up with the rest of the lineup. My $30k 18 Accord had the newest system, my $43k 21 Ridgeline has the older system. Kind of a kick in the n*ts
In India..honda.. have slow thinking team. At one time in Honda's design have newness. but in today's market India have Kia, Hyundai have newness and fast decision.. Example of it..Creta 2015 have more than 3 update design. Honda testing hrv from 2016-17 but till today they have no compact suv option.
Now if only you could upgrade the Ridgeline's infotainment to keep up with the rest of the lineup. My $30k 18 Accord had the newest system, my $43k 21 Ridgeline has the older system. 🙄
Honda, design wise has lost its way. Back in the eighties, Honda cars were recognisable with unique and cutting edge designs. The CRX was an example and the third gen Prelude with its very low nose. Over the last two decades, Honda design is just a mish mash with pointless design features. Honda Jazz fake air intakes. Why? CRV keeps on changing design for the sake of change. There is no design language at Honda. Some brands evolve their design language. Not Honda. Start from scratch for a new generation model. A once unique engineering and design led company just lost its way.
Please Honda rethink - we no longer need ugly, huge electric SUVs -You can actually do it! Why does an electric car always have to look ugly and why can't it be wrapped up in a beautiful body of metal?
This car will arrive at least 5 years too late…sorry Honda…after 30 years i changed to Tesla after many wrong decisions of Honda Europe in recent years….
The fact that Honda had to partner with a terrible partner like GM shows the bad place they are in with Electric vehicles. Honda is known for it's reliability, GM is known for going bankrupt for making terrible cars time and time again with extremely poor quality control. Why would Honda do this? They show the design aspect of this vehicle, but did they show the phone calls when GM's bean counters get involved and make everything as cheaply as possible for the consumer to have to deal with all of the problems later? NO ONE should buy this vehicle and support this type of poorly thought out partnership.
You must not have seen the latest quality rankings. Honda is now the one struggling. This will share the platform with the Cadillac Lyriq and Chevrolet Blazer EV which both look amazing. Not much bean counter interference from what we've seen so far.
By honda and gm using the same platform it bring price down for production drastically making it more affordable, honda is only using gm platform, honda will still manufacture the prologue not gm
I bloody love the design of the Honda E on his desk

You realize the semiconductor shortage is affecting every manufacturer right? Every dealership is having trouble keeping supplies of new cars on hand.
@@johng81818 i hope so
Everyone seems very passionate about this car. Mr. Honda would approve of the passion.
Only problem is the price, at over $40k there are many more options to choose from

Same. Honda owners since 2003. I briefly had a BMW which was a maintenance money pit so I got rid of it and got back to Honda!
Prologue is written in the old Prelude font 😉
love how simple it is.
Looks great! Looking forward to seeing the interior.
Can't wait for the interior reveal
I just hope that the interior will also be modern and fresh with up to date tech styling…

I put my name down for one at my local Honda dealer in Canada a few weeks ago. I hope I will get one in early 2024.
Prelude revival would have been a better choice.
When will honda use robocop front lamp?
Well that is why I became Honda fanboy
Just seen the final design and so glad they've gone with the simplified styling. Love it

Brilliant Work A+++
Can we get a new prelude sedan too?
Honda cars should look like the new ZR-V
Its sleek and minimalist
Hiii, Please make a other Honda Element (EV or not) But a other element.

Finally Honda hired some good designers. The Honda E, Civic and Prologue are awesome. But the cars they made in recent 5-7 years have no design value.
True, Bro how about 2013 CR-V and Honda City ZX [2005-2008] VTEC designs?
50k for a base honda SUV. Thanks Tesla for inflating overpriced cars.
The design is good looking, but it's still built by GM. Why would anyone buy this instead of the Chevy Blazer EV?
This Honda EV looks like a weaker copy of my Mazda CX7 10 years ago. These designers should be fired. They suck.
Make the windows larger, it looks cramped right now
Honda please don't jack up the 23 Pilot. Hopefully it's a sweet ride!!
