- Aston Villa have actioned a crazy sequence of transfers that will raise some eyebrows and I'm sure will come under scrutiny. BUT the addition of Ian Maatsen from Chelsea aswell as Enzo Barrenechea & Samuel Iling Jr from Juventus from the Douglas Luiz sale make Villa a better , more rounded side already. Luiz will be a huge miss but with the likes off Ross Barkley & Mario Hermoso rumoured to be close Aston Villa & Unai Emery are only just getting started their Champions League upgrades!!

I didnt hear you mention Nedjelkovic.(think thats how it's spelled) the right back we signed from Red Star.
He is, apparently one of the top rb prospects in european football, and joins up with the team pre-season, after a loan stay at Red Star.

Biggest ongoing issue is RB area as your graphics shows well. Big name LW, ST, RB and a GK to come in July.
What Monchi and our recruitment team are doing is extremely smart tbh!! Considering we haven't been playing in Europe until last season and obviously next our squad wages are very high, so in my opinion what I think we're doing is slowly moving out the players who are either on high wages that have a low sell on value either due to age or contract length etc players who are not good enough, players who are seen as upgradable or players who unai don't think fits into his vision for whatever reason. Once all that is done it's looking like we are going for players who are still young, high potential for growth and sell on value and won't be demanding sky high wages!! It's looking good for villa. Kosta Nedjelkovic will probably replace Matty Cash. A LOT of hype around him, looks a phenomenal player and he’s ridiculously quick. I worry for any left back when Bailey and Nedjelkovic are running at you 🤯

We did signed Kosta Nedeljkovic at Right-Back in jan but he arrives this summer .. maybe he's too young but looks promising . Brais would be top for real. Thanks for the content. Always good.
He's too raw and after getting injured he probably needs time to get adjusted to playing football again in general nevermind playing football in England which is a whole different kettle of fish

Great video! Curious on your thoughts about Dobbin being a mirror image of Watkins. I was under the impression Dobbin was a super pacey dribbler with a finish. Watkins has good pace, but his dribbling has always been more "satisfactory" and his off-the-ball movement, as well as hold-up play, are massive strengths. From what I've read up on Dobbin he kind of lacks everything except for dribbling, pace, and finishing. Rodgers actually looks a bit closer to developing into a FW like Watkins honestly.

I don’t think chambers is going to be staying. But things looking great at the moment.
Tbh i think we'll see players like Chambers, Hause, Dendonker, Coutinho, Duran and Olsen getting moved on due to them being either not good enough for our squad, having a bit of a bad attitude or not being worth the high wages that they are on ie "Coutinho" once that is done it will free up squad places, the wage bill and it will give unai more flexibility to bring in players he wants!! It's certainly going to be a great summer. UTV
I hope Cash stays. Luiz going isn't a good thing either.
Luiz is good for ffp reasons so we can strengthen the squad. Cash is far too negative we should cash in on Cash.
Losing Luiz as an isolated move isn't great, but we suffered from a serious lack of squad depth last season. If Dougie moving means we get other targets and avoid PSR issues then it's a positive in the long run. I'm excited to see what this Enzo kid we're getting in return looks like, could be a decent option for Kamara's role. Still think a big (ish) name CM will come in. Barkley adds flexibility and hopefully a fully fit Ramsey and Buendia adding a bit to the ranks as well.

@@Quinny3001I think Sporting will sell now. His season wasn't as good as previous seasons when they were asking way too much for him. They will likely see it as possibly being their last chance to get the kind of money they were previously turning down.
25 now with an €80m (£67.7m) release clause. Imo they'd sell at £60m (a figure they previously rejected) and possibly even as low as £50m.
@@Quinny3001 He's said that he wants to stay at Sporting for this coming season. Amorim is staying to try and achieve the bi-League Champions and has kept the team together. Expect both to leave next summer.

I'm not sure I see the Tammy move happening. He'll be on pretty big money and can't really see him being happy to play 2nd fiddle to Watkins. I don't think Archer is the answer, the links to Iheanacho on a free I don't mind as an experienced back up.
Prefer another deal with Chelsea for Lukaku to share the CF role with Watkins (not play together). Thats if salary can work

I can't help feeling that, given his contribution last season, the loss from the sale of Douglas Luiz is greater than the gain.
You can't take the prem serious anymore. So many Clubs abusing loopholes to avoid financial fair play
It’s what clubs have to do due to the prem not applying these rules to the big six only to the smaller clubs

It's no loophole it's implementing it's dumb pure profit rule to full effect they're effectively telling clubs to sell local lads in order to compete. It's about time clubs band together to stick it to the cartel 6 they've been ruling the roost for too long.

Bruh, you saw Illing. JR, Dobbin and Enzo, Maatsan? It's about squad depth now. As soon as Dougie gets injured, we have a depth in number, and they are younger.
@Omi_xo Dobbin is a championship level player at best. Douglas Luiz is a vastly superior player to Enzo!! We've already got Bailey, Diaby, Ramsey, Buendia and Rogers to play on the wings/number 10. Why oh why do we need another winger in Iling Junior or Dobbin????????
We need a replacement for Douglas Luiz. Enzo and Barkley can sit on the bench. We need to sign a player like Gallagher. We're playing CHAMPIONS LEAGUE football next season, not playing for mid table mediocrity.
If we finished 10th last season, I'd be disappointed with us signing the likes of Dobbin and selling Luiz.

Maatsen should be a great signing. How we can afford to spend that much on a left back is another thing. Absolute mystery.

@@sjtdxitditsitdurzirxur5926Barkley had roughly the same season as Luiz with a lesser team he's all that's necessary plus Luiz was horrendous in the 2nd half of the season quite frankly. It's only a few million in the accounts over 5 years it's really not that much for Maatsen.
