The power of a praying wife is a GEM of a book. I used it early in my marriage when my husband was an alcoholic and he is now delivered and set free. I prayed for him almost everyday using that book!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Have you ever thought about having any zoom calls to pray for one another as mothers and wives. We lack prayer in the body, corporate prayer would be powerful!
Praise the Lord Brianna! Glory to God for his deliverance and setting him free from the chains of addiction. I’m so excited to continue reading this book. I’ve actually gotten this question a few times about setting up a Zoom call for either prayer or Bible study. I would definitely consider it but have to bring it to prayer. Like Gideon I feel like I am not ready for that type of assignment but maybe in the future. I’d love to meet and chat with all you ladies for sure! Maybe I could start with a virtual fellowship event to start with. ☺️🩷
The best tips is 1. get ready for the day 2. Start dinner at breakfast. 3. Before you start cooking start a hot dish water to wash as you go so you dont have a stack of dishes waiting. 4.Clean up after yourself, when youre done with a spice/item put it away right away. Keeps counters clean. 5. Do a load a day, minimum. And form the habit to always fold and put away at the same time. For me its right after nap or right after dinner. 6. Clean bathroom (family of 6) every other day, and give it a good wiping daily.
These are so great!!! Thank you for such a thoughtful list of tips. I know many women will be inspired and blessed by your comment. I’m working on 1 and 6 the most. The bathroom is a struggle area for me because it’s the farthest corner from our living room where I can keep an eye on the boys so it’s not often I am able to be in there to clean. But I like that you make the intention of period cleaning so it doesn’t get too messy!
What I usually do to get leftovers or have lunches for the next day is making double the amount of food as you would, so maybe you would need to have all burners going at once or if you make a pot of spaghetti make 2, lasagna make 2 trays and freeze one. Make a cup of rice extra and freeze it or with ground meat , I will make 2 pounds and put 1 pound in the freezer and could use it to make a super fast meal. I make a huge pot of meat sauce and it ends up making 4 servings and I put them in gallon zip lock freeze bags and then you just have to boil pasta and it's ready to go. I also stock up on veggies or fruits when they are on sale and chop them up and freeze them. Flash freezing is such a game changer 🙌 I also make pancakes and muffins just like that ❤ Those hamburger buns and hot dog buns look amazing amiga ❤
Tbh I’m glad you relate because , sometimes I put my tasks around the house first before playing with my children or spending time with my husband. It crazy because I look at my boys and they’re growing up so fast.im also a mom of two boys 💕😅
I am so guilty of the same! I have to check myself every now and then to remember my priorities. After all, this is their childhood 🥹 how old are your boys? Mine are just about the age where they are starting to entertain themselves together and it’s so sweet!
This is great help even for us older, retired Moms at 🏡 Thanks for the bean soaking tip ! I wish I could make GF homemade burger buns. Those looked delicious!
I’m humbled you enjoyed my video! Thank you so much. The buns were great and my family loves them 🤗 they are much cleaner than what you would find at the store!
Something I’ve found to be helpful in keeping the kitchen manageable is unload the dishwasher after breakfast and load whatever is in the sink after lunch. That way when I start making dinner I have a fairly clean kitchen to work in and I just continue loading it as I’m cooking. Then after dinner I start it and the sink is empty! It doesn’t work out that well everyday, but it helps to break up the chore and keep things fairly tidy. Also my toddler loves to help with the dishes too 😊
Ooooh that’s a great system! When I’m able to keep the dishes manageable, it makes the entire process so much easier and quicker. I love that our kids love helping with the dishes! They will most definitely be taking ownership of that once they’re old enough. 😂
I'm not yet married, so don't yet have children, but yes, focusing on getting everything done, especially by a certain time or to complete your to-do list can be an idol. Honestly, it happens to me from time to time & I didn't realize that was what it is until I read the title of this video. Thank you much ❤❤❤.
It’s so hard not to get caught up in it, regardless of what season you’re in! But you’re definitely in a great place to start being more mindful and setting boundaries in place so it doesn’t become an issue as your role changes in marriage and motherhood. I’m so glad this video was relevant for you!
This topic has been weighing heavily on my heart. I have an almost two year old and a one month old and I find it hard to juggle everything they need and the things of the home. I feel really overwhelmed and overstimulated if the apartment is messy but I also don’t want to be tidying all of the time. Your video was helpful, I feel less alone and I will definitely be assessing if I’m making productivity an idol. I just bought a few products to help organize the toys and blankets in the living room so I can quickly toss things in and hopefully save a lot of time and energy.
I totally relate to you 100% Michelle!!! ALL OF IT. I’m also constantly cleaning because I get anxious, grumpy and easily frustrated (or angry) when my apartment is a mess. We don’t have a lot of space or storage so it feels like things get messy so quickly, especially with young kids like ours. YOUR comment made me feel less alone too 🩷🙏🏼
@@mrsdaisymama I’m glad you feel less alone too. I love your channel and appreciate how honest you are about some of your struggles in motherhood and homemaking. I especially love how open you are about your faith and bring things back to the Bible. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my comments ❤️
Thank you for the motivation! I’ve been inspired by the closing shifts so the morning routine with my baby (who is Ezra’s age) is not as hectic. And I love love love the Christian candle ! We don’t need no “zen” and witchcraft sage candles in my home !
I’m so excited to continue reading it! It’s so great to hear how much it changed you as a wife. I wish I found more books in Spanish here but there’s not many Spanish speakers out here! I will definitely have to go thrifting for books when I’m back to visit California next year.
So true... i think it has to do with proverbs 31. Although it is a beautiful thing, it is not realistic to me personally. Resting is crucial. Endless to- do lists are not ( at least thats where I live by ) nescessary God pleasing.. I try to make sure there is food, clean laundry and a somewhat clean home to bless my family. It is perfect? Nope. But it is enough. Luckily my husband feels the same way😅 This topic is much needed in the christian homemaking community i think. So thank you 😊🤍
I completely agree Mirjam! There’s very hard expectations. We can strive towards it, but it won’t ever be perfect as we may want it to be. I’m glad your husband has that grace too! My husband does as well, even though I am very hard on myself about getting too many things done. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and topic. Thank you for commenting and your support! 🩷🙏🏼
Your videos are a GEM. Thank you daisy. Why is your audio voice over so clear. What equipments do you use to record your voiceovers 😢. I'm struggling with that cos I record on my phone as I edit😢. Pls help❤
I love your videos. I struggle very much with not having to have everything done, and reminding myself that time with God is first priority. I do my best to do a thorough cleaning of a different room or two if they are small each day of the week. Keeping dishes washed as they are used and washing a load of clothes everyday depending on how urgently it's needed to be worn. Do you have a Bible reading schedule you are following?
@mrsdaisymama a favorite casserole in our family is Baked Ziti. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Boil/cook to package directions and strain your favorite noodles (rotini, ziti, mostaccioli, penne, etc). On low heat, in large pot or saucepan melt 1 bar cream cheese and add your choice of spaghetti sauce and stir until mixed together. (I like garlic or meat flavored sauces or veggies sauces to sneak more veggies in for the kids!). Pour noodles into sauce and mix until evenly coated. Optional, cook ground turkey or ground beef and add into your sauce. Here is where you make 1 for dinner and any extra for the freezer. Disposable foil pans are good for freezing. In a glass baking dish (and foil pan) pour your sauced noodle mixture. Add shredded cheese layer on top (we like cheddar and/or mozzerella). Bake 1 in the oven until the cheese is golden brown. (If you're in a hurry pop the heat to broil, but it only takes a couple minutes so don't forget or your cheese will be burnt!). Cover your extra casseroles with foil and label then just bake from the freezer another night. You will need about an hour from frozen 20 to 30 minutes if you defrost. Serve with garlic bread and salad or veggie.Enjoy! ! 1box 16 oz pasta casserole feeds my family of 7 if that helps.
My mom always soaked them overnight too! But she thinks I’m crazy when I tell her I do it for more than 12 hours 😂 What a sweet tradition to keep passing along with your family 💕

Plus making it yourself doesn’t have all the added preservatives and unnecessary ingredients. I’m glad you’ll be making them yourself now! 👏🏼

I like the tip of prepping dinner earlier in the day. You had great tips.
Aww the family hug was so sweet! 🥰
I read that book in Spanish and helped me a lot In my marriage and help me changing as a wife. I still have the book.

I use my kjv and esv and love it. I listen to audio esv too
I’ve been referencing my KJV pretty often since I bought it! And I’ve been listening to my Bible app a lot more frequently too ☺️🙏🏼
Lovely video!❤ I’d love some of your recipes! Can you share the banana pancake recipe?!Love your channel 💖
Oh thank you so much Dana!!! I just added the recipe to the description box. I hope you love it!

Hi Daisy! Do you have a recipe for the burger buns? Those look fantastic!!!
Oh I just added it to the description! I hope you love it, it’s a great recipe! 😁👏🏼
I knew it about it ! Just add a spoon of white vinegar and you will decrease even more ! Brazilian here 😂 we’re also eating all the time !
My mom would cook a full casserole. And sides then freeze the whole meal and make portions for every family member.
That’s so thoughtful! I’ve never made a casserole before, do you have any favorite recipes? 🤗
Do you have a good casserole recipe!? I’m looking for a new one to cook!

Thank you my dear friend 🎀🩷 how is your sweet daughter doing with the new medications?
I grew up picking pintos and soaking them overnight, and now I have my kids picking beans; I guess its a family traditional now
My mom always soaked them overnight too! But she thinks I’m crazy when I tell her I do it for more than 12 hours 😂
What a sweet tradition to keep passing along with your family 💕
I use the Enduring Word Commentary. It's available online and as an app! 🌼
Thank you for the recommendation! I just downloaded it, I’m excited to use it already! ❤️❤️🙏🏼
