I just made this. I added a bit of date sugar, nutmeg, and cloves to make it even more autumnal. So yum! It reminds me a custard or bread pudding. I ate it hot with "caramel" (honey and ghee) so, so yum
Congratulations. Hopefully safely arrived now! ❤ Also for those left over egg whites we make a super yummy dessert in Australia called a Pavlova. They are a nice family treat with cream. Meringues too for the kids and they last forever in the pantry once cooked. 😊
You just gave me the best idea for our bumper crop of butternut squash! For some reason, they're really producing in our garden this year. Thank you! Our kiddos will love this. 💗
Looks like it's basically a butternut squash soufflé. I'd say you can add a little bit of vanilla, and some spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, pumpkin pie spice, etc. Baking might be quicker if the batter is poured into muffin tins.
Looks so delicious! I will definitely try this, I've done something similar using my sister's recipe of 2 shucked corns, 2 eggs and 2 tbsp of lard/tallow/butter along with a couple of shakes of salt (you can add any other spices to the batter that you think would go well). Cook over medium heat like any regular pancake recipe.... makes yummy corn pancakes that we eat with some raw cheese. Makes about 6-10 pancakes, depending on the size.
Thanks! Canned pumpkin is actually a kind of winter squash. If it's all you can get, that's okay, but Dr. Natasha recommends staying away from canned foods in general :)
I tried making this recipe and the top of my “puff” browned much faster than the bottom layer of the puff. Could it be because you used a porcelain dish and I used a glass dish?
Thank you, looks delicious, I'm sure my wife will love it (I'm the cook of the family :D ) Anyway, I sent you an email with a working proposal! I'm sure you get lots of messages and it's hard to keep up, so I'm dropping here this message hoping to get your attention faster. greetings from Italy

How do you know to harvest them? I have a bunch growing and the leaves have caught powdery mildew despite our efforts! Should I harvest now and pray?
Could you freeze the batter then thaw and bake later? (To prep for postpartum recovery.)

Oh the subscription group is a wonderful idea Marisa! This looks yummy and so easy. Some slightly melted sharp cheddar on top would be so good.
Good idea! :)

Also I love that salt shaker in a Mason jar. Did you just find another lid online for it? What kind of salt do you use?
@@slee7991 This one is a recipe I created myself :) Here are the lids amzn.to/3e3vXHs I like Celtic sea salt and Baja gold salt :) amzn.to/3PW9r0h
Made this today and absolutely love it!!! Any tips on re-heating? I'm trying to not use a microwave, but am struggling.
I use toaster oven for reheating 🙂
Try using an air fryer
