My hair loves this product line
Other people that I watched didn’t seem to like the products and the products didn’t look too great on their hair based on the video...however, from what I can tell they didn’t keep their hair saturated like you did, they didn’t read the directions and apply the product as detailed as you did either. I’m glad that I watched your video because now I may actually try the products once the spring/summer time comes. I tend to wear my hair straight during the fall & winter. Great review!

Years ago I gave my first impressions of a product that I had a bad experience with and later it became a staple. I prefer to use a product a few times before I make mention of it, if it's worth mentioning.

You are hair goals. When i saw this video on my feed i thought to myself there's no way that's your hair. But then i watched the video in its entirety and i was impressed. Could you pist a video on your straightening process and how to make it last? Im so motivated to continue with my natural hair.
I am happy to hear you are inspired to continue with your natural hair journey. I have tried to capture the straightening process so many times, with little success, so I stopped trying. I am currently wearing a week old press right now and all I do is put it in a tight bun at night, cover with a slapcap in bed and in the shower. I take it out of the bun when I reach my destination so it's not getting much exposure to the elements and to release it from the tension.
I have the biggest hair crush on your Beautiful crown it looks healthy well loved!! I been with you from almost day 1 it so good to see you I have learned so much and been blessed by all your wisdom you help me so much after a awful round of Cancer almost 6 year free and 17inches of curls I honestly want to Thank you💋💕

Aww thank you lovely lady! I am going to be 49 in February 2021 and have reached tailbone length. I also have at least one client who is in her 70's with a full head of long tresses. The body may experience decline in various areas depending upon a variety of factors. But how quickly if ever there is decline is solely up to the individual. There are plenty of mature adults who do not experience high levels of decline in hair and other areas. Be encouraged!

😍I love the light weight/movement and look to your wash n go. You normally dont see that in natural hair. How do we get more body and springy curls to our hair?? Foams?
I was ready to get away from gel weighing my hair down so I am really enjoying this look and feel. So far, foams/mousses give more body. I'm not sure I would agree with springy curls because they are lightly holding the curls together, so they are just very soft. By the way, this product happens to be even lighter than the foams/mousses I tried prior to using it.

Can't believe how long your hair has grown!. The problem is your hair is very straight very silky it's not the norm - it's not 4c so it's easier to grow. The definition in your hair won't be gotten by most naturals. Have your clients with thicker textured hair been able to grow their hair as fast as yours?
First let's clarify your question. Hair that appears thick can be either, fine strands with high density or medium to coarse strands with medium density. There are a variety of elements the hair can have and none of these elements determine the rate at which the person's hair will growth. Growth rate has to do with health of your follicles and the signals from your hormones and blood circulation. How long someone's hair grows has more to do with length retention. Length is impacted by maintaining the condition of the hair. If the person is cutting their hair to maintain a certain shape they may not be concerned with retaining length as a first priority. As for my clients, they have a variety of textures, density and other elements that vary. Some with tighter curls that may be referred to as 4C are experiencing great length retention. Ultimately, it all comes down to their personal health, where they are in their natural hair journey and their hair goals. Finally, my mission as a professional in this space is to dismiss the concept of difficulty growing hair for black women of any texture. I believe, the more we see ourselves achieving beautiful healthy hair with it's variety of characteristics, the less likely future generations will think it's not common.

the only thing that pisses me off about influencer-based products is they know how much products is needed for hair maintenance, yet they always make them in those small little tubs with those annoying "dime size" instructions. It's really hard for me to take them seriously and relate to them because I feel that they are appealing to mainstream instead of really listening to us consumers who want more bang for the buck. The only ones that i know to date that have a realistic product amount is melanin haircare, 22nd century naturals, and alikay naturals the professionals line.
Thanks for reminding me, I really want to try Melanin Haircare. Hopefully as the influencers and their companies develop their businesses they tune into the consumer and provide larger containers. It may have something to do with demand for the products not there yet to justify larger containers. But I can not speak on their behalf.

Welcome back! Your hair looks amazing. You have definition and body. How much of your results are products vs technique?
Thank you for the warm welcome. There is always a learning curve with new products, but since I have had practice with mousses/foams I had a familiar approach or technique to achieve good results with the new products on the first try. The second time I went a little heavier with the gel in my special/challenging areas and that is when I experienced flaking. Because the products are light, it gives a soft fluffy finish on my hair.
How do you sleep to keep the look the next day?
Pretty much the same way I demonstrated at the end of video review of Adwoa Beauty products from two years ago.

Thank you darling. I like the way my hair falls all together at this length. I may consider a curly cut to provide a different shape at some point, but for now I am very happy with the way my hair lands behind my shoulders. I only wear it in front for videos and photos.

I avoid water and steamy environments. I cover my hair at night and keep it covered in the shower. Finally, I do not add any product to my hair after it is styled on washed day.

YAY! You're back! Can you do this on tighter texture hair like 4c hair???
To be honest, I have several clients who are happy with the current product combination that I use to style their wash and go that I did not get many opportunities to explore the Mo Knows Hair styling products on them. Of the clients with tighter curls who were willing to experiment there was great definition and volume (finer, low density hair with a silky texture similar to mine) and no definition for the client with high density and more of a cottony texture. So I had to redo her hair with something else. You are welcome to schedule an appointment with me and we can try this product line for styling. If it does not work there are plenty of other product combinations I can use. You will leave with definition and hold that will last you a least 5 days to a week.

Your hair had grown so much!! I do I have question. My daughter has THICK really tight curls. When I do wng on her hair, it has knots when it's time to wash her hair. Her hair has been trimmed, so I know it's not that. It on li y gets knots when I do wng. Any suggestions?
I don't work with children much, but I do think you would have a better experience if you wash her hair weekly and freshly braid it every week or two weeks.

The styling technique is dictated by the styling products, so there is some variation. How I cleanse and condition is pretty consistent. You hair is gorgeous! It dried so fast, do you have high porosity hair? I know this line has protein so I'm hesitant to use it since I have very low porosity hair.
40 minutes under a hooded dryer with these light products is reasonable. I have high porosity hair in the front where I barely get definition. These products did a wonderful job moisturizing and defining my low porosity section in the crown. Prior to this, I was loving my wash and go with DevaCurl Products because the front of my hair looked and felt so great I was willing to overlook the Low Po section, I loved the curls so much. When I tried Mo Knows Hair and got similar curls with the low porosity sectioned well moisturized as well, I was hooked.

You're hair is gorgeous as always! I also enjoy using the curl restoring treatment. What's your professional opinion regarding leaving deep conditioners or treatments in the hair beyond the recommended time on the container?
It is always ideal to follow the manufacturer instructions on the container, especially for treatments. Something like this is best to rinse after 20 minutes, not to exceed 30 minutes.

You're welcome. It's possible to love both product lines and appreciate certain aspects of each line. In my case I love my staple deep cleanser (though I am experimenting with others) I love the Adwoa Shampoo and I love styling my wash and go with Mo Knows Hair. Right now, there is no ONE PRODUCT LINE that does it all for me and I am ok with that. Are you currently using Adwoa?
@@EmbraceNaturalBeauty yes I am, I love everything about the product, however the styling gel and cream do not give me the best results for a wash n go. Still searching.
If you are referring to Adwoa the cream is meant for twists and braids. When styling wash and go the gel is layered on top of the leave in conditioner.

There is always a learning curve with new products, but since I have had practice with mousses/foams I had a familiar approach or technique to achieve good results with the new products on the first try. The second time I went a little heavier with the gel in my special/challenging areas and that is when I experienced flaking. Since then I have managed to find the right balance of product application and technique to get the results you see in the video showcasing day 5. I have worn the washngo styled with these products for 6 days (twice) 12 days (once) and 14 days (twice) before sharing this video. Only one occasion did I experience noticeable flaking.
