Hi Mark, you certainly could use a MultiMAX II with Canon, Nikon, or Panasonic flashes (and their respective FlexTT5s or FlexTT6s) for power control. We do not have TTL for Sony now but of course, we cannot comment on any internal developments. If or when we do introduce ControlTL for Sony, we will make sure to advertise it everywhere!
pocketwizardvids Thank you for the reply. I enjoy the PW system and will most likely add either a Canon or Nikon speed light with ControlTL capability. I would be very interested in purchasing a studio strobe that has the ControlTL ability but I haven’t found any information about which brands/models have this. I use the Sekonic 478LR-U with PW radio trigger built in. If you can help me find out which of these lights use this I would greatly appreciate it.
The Einstein from Paul C. Buff can use our PowerMC2. The AlienBees and White Lightnings can use our AC9 when it's connected to a FlexTT5 or FlexTT6 for power control as well. Our PowerST4 works with Elinchrom strobes that have an external 5 or 7 pin Skyport port. We hope this helps!
I hope that people STILL continue to support these... I think they work and continue to work well.. So many people are buying the cheap Chinese products.. I guess that to some quality does not matter. I just heard that Bowens are going under.. same reason... Cheap Chinese goods.
Guess, Pocket Wizard never heard ATG/Godox/Neewer/Nissin/Phottix/Interfit/Yongnuo. Only a fool would come up with $458.00. The same can be said for buying Sony transmitter/receiver for $546.00. Real photographers are fading into the history books, fast. Many photographers are now just doing more reviews just to make end meets. While beginners/weekend shooters/amateurs are buying Sony A9, Olympus OM-D E-M1 II, Panasonic DMC-GH5 and going for ATG flash systems. Today, we have mostly photo editors that need to buy a new camera body just because they see reviews. FYI: ATG has put Bowens into the history books. ATG has forced Profoto B1 with rebates. ATG has not allowed Phottix Odin II to work on Phottix Indra500LC. ATG Gold transmitters (some have ranges beyond 1524 meters! ATG Gold transmitters talks fully to Canon 600EX II-RT, 600EX-RT & 430EX III.
You must be new & learning about radio flash photography. Check your friends, amateurs to pros, they are using Godox X1T and now the popular AD200. Today, many reviewers can fool many shooters that like to call people names. Notice how they boasted this simple radio trigger set, like the ATG's DigiBee DB800 and ATG's HoneyBadger. So if you think manual are the answers, then go out buy a Otus lens. Then come back and tell how us that you can focus faster than using AF.
Zary Photography, Today, they are so popular that major camera stores are selling them their own names. Better profits over OEM. You and many today photographers didn't know that camera stores sold them long ago. * Vivitar 283, 285, 285HV * Metz 60CT-1 to 60CT-4 * Quantum QFlash Basically Pocket Wizard and Quantum Instrument are now considered dead, like Bowens.
Why not read about PIFA or take a class from Professor Terence Tao. He's in UCLA. I looked dumb in that class. Pocket Wizard is in big trouble. ATG has PIFA, Bluetooth, TTL beyond 1,000 feet.
the best and most reliable triggers ARE pocket wizard and remains that way. I always laugh at the fools trying to "cheap out" on flash/strobe triggers.
Ken, that's like saying Quantum QFlash is the best. True at that time. But today shooters have choices and are going for ATG's. Camera stores are buying, selling & making better profits than selling PC/Q. Just like you rather have AF lenses over mechanical lenses. Only fools today would buy Pocket Wizard, Profoto A1 and Quantum QFlash Trio. Pocket Wizard and Quantum are about to go into the history books.
@@Epsilom Good luck trying to shoot indoors at higher than F8.0 with 8,000 without flashes. Even our ATG 200-500/2.8 and 1200/5.6 need help with monolights. What camera model are you using & lenses are you using?
about time they came out with a transmitter to control flash power, there still behind other remotes
THANK GOD!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Which receiver are you using in this video?
Any word on adapting this with ControlTL (™) to the Sony mirrorless system?
