    When your finger tips do get calloused, pulling a hot plate of food out of the microwave and placing it on your finger tips to carry over to the table is a guitarists mutant X-men power. Yeah, it may not be the best mutant power but it comes in handy saving food from being dropped on the floor. Especially, when you're really hungry and your watching something on the Tele. • @tonidupont-mora1572
    @tonidupont-mora1572 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Strangely, the first dreadnought acoustics didn’t bear the Martin logo, but were made for the Oliver Ditson Company with production beginning in 1916, marketing being centred upon New York and Boston.
    These models had 12-fret-to-the-body necks, slotted pegheads, no pickguards and with unique inlays and soundhole rosettes. However, in terms of construction, they featured mahogany backs and sides and spruce tops; since becoming pretty much standard with makers of dreadnought-style guitars worldwide.

    I play accoustic bass guitar in an amateur bluegrass band, but I've played standard guitars much longer (70 years). Started on standup bass 5/8ths size.
    When I got a chance I played our banjo player Martin D35. Shunned buying a Martin as a result. But in the last year I've bought several Martins trading up.
    When my pal bought his D35 it was a 68 model he bought in 69. $550.00. Now D35 prices have skyrocketed. Next on my radar is an upgrade to a Martin
    accoustic bass guitar.

    I don't like big dreadnought bodies. The old parlor guitars are the best size imo. Nice and small. Usually I'd be playing plugged in anyway so the volume bonus you get from the bigger bodies is nullified. I own a vintage parlor guitar from 1909, which the previous owner electrified. Great tone!

    I am stuck in a rut learning to play as I am still on the first module for six months only now I have horrible wrist pain plus my hand falls asleep. Why? I have small hands (6.5in from wrist to the tip of the longest finger, and 7.5in from tip of the thumb to a fully spread out hand's tip of the pinky) so to reach the half the strings I have to bend my wrist which is giving me carpal tunnel. What would help as the Squire is too much for me?

    My son got a starter kit. Beautiful guitar but boy heavy! They got my tiny 9 year old 65lbs a full scale. He can't stand more than 10 minutes. I need a super light guitar < $300 USD. Any recommendations?

    Very helpful advice. Perhaps a bit-slower delivery? That would help in absorbing all the info. Thanks.

    Does anybody know in what direction the guitar prices have moved over the last 10-20 years? I am asking because it seems rock music as a whole has been going through a period when it’s much less popular. Well definitely electric guitar rock is less popular.
