So cool! We're so used to the mountains out west... it's fun to see other areas and makes us want to visit. So many trees!

Gorgeous views! Those "balds" in the southern Appalachians are most impressive, considering both their altitude and latitude. Thanks for bringing us along on the hike!

Your welcome! Yes, this is one of our favorite spots in the Appalachians, never gets old.

Wow, that intro scenery is great. That's a lot of tunnels for sure and 100% agree that you have to be on the lookout for bears in that area of the country. Very cool hike and views from the trail. Great stuff!

After two Roan Highlands adventures, I've recently learned about this trail.
Amazing video. Know any other trails like the other two in this region??

Honestly I'm not real familiar with those trails other than just going the short distant to the top of the Black Balsam, haven’t went any further than that. Thanks so much for watching!

What was the difficulty of this hike? Beginners here and we want to make sure we aren’t biting off too much

This hike is what In would call as Moderate... some elevation gain but not too strenuous. It's a pretty short hike to the top like maybe 20 - 30 minutes or so. Well worth it.
