0:46 Now that is just odd how this game takes place on September 11th. And the fact that the first two buildings at 1:12 look very similar to the Twin Towers. That is just very weird to me. Out of all the dates Taito could have used, they used September 11th.
Finally covered this Taito shmup eh Schlauchi, this one can be very punishing without re-records, trust me I know as I have it on a Taito Memories compilation for PS2. It's Mega Drive port is considered the most mediocre shmup on the system, but oddly the arcade version lets you feel very satisifed you've made any progress for how difficult it is. Not a bad shmup per say, but not one sadly with a good reputation.
Am i the only one that get references to Mirai Shonen Conan in the Giant plane mothership? That idea has been always with me since i seen this in the arcades; plus the Seven Days of fire might be a reference to Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa - btw both works of Miyazaki
And also have the feeling that the western version might be cut down, did happen already with Raimais, where the western version loses all the plot, cutscenes and final
Finally, i got to see just how this weirdo shmup from Taito ends. Master Of Weapon isn't exactly one of Taito's better games. Looks like something they picked up from UPL at a bargain.
Yeah, this one's kinda cut-rate - Yukiwo Ishikawa/Yukio Abe, the lead dev of this one, would eventually go on to make the RAY- games. Hell of a turn around, eh?
@@MxArgent The lead dev is is Yukiwo Ishikawa? Coincidence that, a prototype build of this game was called Yukiwo and the main character is called Yukiwo here.
Master Of Weapon is arcade of excitement With ABSOLUTELY AMAZING graphics and AWESOME gameplay that is 2Fast 2Furious and entertaining The levels are excellent with Furious boss battles With devastating power ups to the defeat the enemy This is a classic arcade game from taito 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Forgot to mention one of the most brutal points of this game, you must not continue even once, or you do not face the true last boss of the game and don't get the best ending.
Kudos to the player, nobody can deny your skill. But your real achievement here was to stand those long-ass boss fights. Red stage with red orbs attacking you? Who designed this? Also, the five stages looked the same, and that highway in the skies... LOL one way to avoid designed different levels, damn highway the five stages.
I never understood this game- Seven day "nuclear storm," I get that, standard 80s apocalypticism, but where does the large, organized military come in and why do they have Sanskrit characters upon them? I thought this game was about mutants? What? This game is just weird. Also there's a dipswitch setting that puts Yukiwo in a hoverbike. It's amusing.
Capcom No More?! Exed Exes No More?! Gun Smoke No More?! SNK Neo Geo No More?! Alpha Mission No More?! Gamest No More?! Beep! Mega Drive No More?! Sexy Pilot No More?! ?
Taito did 9/11!
Wave cannon upgrade can't melt steel beams!
those boss battles used to scare the crap out of me as a kid

@@MxArgent So this director likes post apocalyptic games?
ive always wanted some background information on this game....story.....background on enemies etc.
Great shooter, overlooked and underrated in my opinion. The Megadrive version is pretty good too.
lol. this game is lame dude. it's like some bizarre mashup of twinbee and fire shark. gonna be a no from me dog
I used to love this game, especially the sound tracks.
The sound tracks are terrible.

so it came earlier before Cave with their TLB thing?
Totally don't get the hate with this one. I always liked it.
Same here. I like the music in it.

So the first mission starts on September 11th and at 1:12, you can see the resemblance of the two buildings. Coincidence?
Good see
definitely nothing there. that's not the twin towers that's just two small office buildings . put the weed down.
It feels like "dangerous seed"

One of the worst shmups I have ever seen in my life, along with Star Soldier and other unplayable crap, only interesting for its 9/11 twin towers
i want soundtrack!
