I Know it sucks but its because the public gets carried away and do dumb flying .. However my Insta360 on my 12 foot pole can capture some nice Drone like views! - I will try - Joey
So great to see you both. Thanks, Maria, for putting up with the heat and scratches to show us all beautiful Lake Mead. Cheers Joey you both be well too ok. xxx
Yeah it is Majestic.. The Breeze and the fresh air. and just seeing nature do what she does. Im trying to capture it on video so we can all enjoy the beauty... Thank you - Joey
yeah i have just been waiting for summer to return so we can start discovering stuff again as the water drops' cool stuff pops out of the shores! The season is back! Im back! - Joey
It would be interesting to have a piece of the wood from each of the boats carbon tested to determine their age. Thanks for another report. Stay safe Joey and Maria.
How its changed, as a kid in the 80's I had an uncle he kept a boat on the lake. Was such a big body of water nuts I remember riding on a tube where now is over 150ft in the air
Thanks for not bring afraid to give actual numbers on the lake. You ask some people and they will say the lake is fine no matter what the water level is.
Didn't that kind of have that feeling? I mean to see a wooden ship out in the desert that has been out there for literally 83 years! - thank you for supporting us! - Joey
ha thats great !yeah i have just been waiting for summer to return so we can start discovering stuff again as the water drops' cool stuff pops out of the shores! The season is back! and we are back at it ! Maria & Joey
Always enjoy the updates! I am holding to my guns closing the 2023 year saying I will celebrate on the 1100 marker. Really it got closer then I thought it would.
Hey Joey Hey Maria , 9 Feet Drop Across That Whole Inland Lake Is A MASSIVE amout of Water Hey Thanks For the Report Really Interesting , Glad your getting Out and About Good Fun Exploring hey Take Care Guys Cheers , From Australia
...Excellent🎥, wonderful to see you & Maria again on a local Lake Mead adventure & sharing it with us Waaay down in Southwest Florida on the Gulf Coast, where it is heating up as well...My wife says you look much younger & healthy with the longer hair ...Sister MARIA💗! Its time you grab a camera📽 once & awhile? Mabe? Take us on a somewhat different path? Someday maybe!...Love you 2, you're the best & very creative ... ...Artist, Old Naples Florida🌴🎨
I want Maria to make videos too but she is so shy in front of the camera... She likes being in the shots but then she will run away.. I must train her to enjoy the camera more' - We love you and thank you for your support - Maria & Joey
I’m going to guess those boats were used in the final construction phase as the lake was filling. Probably used to ferry men and tool’s around tool final work site projects that needed finishing. Once done abandon in place and on to next jobs. Buoy install, mooring docks, pipe work as the lake was filling. Nice find Joey.
Lol i know right? I notice the camera in the shadow and i just cant keep it out because the sun is like' right over my shoulder.. oh well Lol im just a journalist .. my camera skill are poo poo Lol - Joey
We are heading back into the weather pattern that will draw both Lake Powell and Lake Mead down after the snowpack melts. If la Niña conditions are the driving factor, it’s going to cause less precipitation for the Southwest, which will substantially deplete lake levels.
Hi Joey and Maria. Good seeing you again. I'm curious. Is that a petroglyph at the top of the hill at the beginning of your video? (At 0:50?) Or is it something that some other modern day hikers did. If so, they did a good job, as it really does look like a petroglyph to me.
I heard they are having some problems at the other lake (I can't remember the name now), the one upstream. Something about the discharge pipes having damage.
Thanks Joey. Tidbit of the day: The shells are a type of Asian fresh water clam that were thought to have been accidentally introduced to Lake Mead back in the 1960s. The clams are believed to have been transported to the U.S. over 100 years ago and slowly spread across the country.
Question. Why weren’t buoys added to underwater boats, structure, etc for safety. Would park or marine officials be able to add a few at a time. Seems like a boat safety issue.
Is there a combined storage chart for Mead and Powell? If the year to year splits and dates aren't consistent the data on lake mead alone doesn't tell us much.
Joey & Maria, do you have access to equipment that can detect nuclear radioactivity in Las Vegas? Nuclear testing was conducted 65 miles NW of Vegas from the 1950's through 1992.
good report bro it s been a while, things seemed ok stable wow how fascinating your analysis graphs bro always refining your expertise, a real Joe I love how you build your points with astute observations, logical, structured also that you do the adventure as a couple - team an appreciated novelty these days there! we have proof! Gatorade drinking people are stupid and polluters! or is it the stuff itself? one Scooby snack to who finds this mystery! ah man, your pointing system is really useful and practical, we can follow your perspective well, kudos bro 1940s seem plausible to me good show team
If the current water level is 1067 ft now and there's a drop of 10 to 15 more. At year end, the level would be about 1050- 55 ft. Not that far from the 2022 levels .😊 If you are able, you should get someone to take you on a boat tour to survey some of the drought related landmarks like the Monolith sppedboat that was fully exposed in 2022.
The wooden boat skeleton is definitely old. The industry stopped producing wooden boats in the late 50's as fiberglass took over the scene. When the boat was sunk is anybody's guess.
Thanks yert again--Joey and Maria! They have to let some water out, downstream--to the 2nd largest. US metro, S. Cal., and Mexico. I wonder what the Arizona and So. Cal. farmers are doing. What about Lake Las Vegas? What about those Vegas citizens--who like watering their lawns? What about the local gaming cartel? Will the typical past mis-management continue?: Of course! After all, everything is fixed and burnished-up, proper, again! It's now time to screw up again--"secretly," of course! No pesky traditional media coverage, either--naturally!
So nice to hear from you Joey & Maria. Scorching days of summer have arrived.
joey you will always be my guy for things las vegas and lake mead thanks for being out there
Glad to see you back at Mead

It would be interesting to have a piece of the wood from each of the boats carbon tested to determine their age. Thanks for another report. Stay safe Joey and Maria.
Carbon dating is not that precise.
I’m an old woman and that’s what they used to do. I’m sure technology has made great progress in that area also.
How its changed, as a kid in the 80's I had an uncle he kept a boat on the lake. Was such a big body of water nuts I remember riding on a tube where now is over 150ft in the air
Hi Carol' Thats a great idea.. I would like to know the history of those boats' How they got there? Did they sink in that location??
Thanks for not bring afraid to give actual numbers on the lake. You ask some people and they will say the lake is fine no matter what the water level is.
Joey be careful around that soft mud. That mud will give way and your will fall and split your pants.
WOW!!! Vikings!!!

Big, hugemongous, little hill😂😂😂😂😂 Glad to see you again
Good to see you and Maria. Can you get a shot of the water level on the penstock towers?
The shadow walking up the hill. I laughed harder then I should have. Always a pleasure to hang with you. Love from Canada, eh?

Thanks for doing another video. Maybe you can find something that interests you more for your videos. Good luck!
Thanks for the report, and the tour.
Hey Joey! Never thought of doing some diving into the lake? With oxygen bottles and all 🤿
Praying for a healthy monsoon system here in the Phoenix area. Last year was a huge disappointment.
We are heading back into the weather pattern that will draw both Lake Powell and Lake Mead down after the snowpack melts. If la Niña conditions are the driving factor, it’s going to cause less precipitation for the Southwest, which will substantially deplete lake levels.
Create some GPS waypoints for the blocks and boats when you find them again

Hi Joey and Maria. Good seeing you again. I'm curious. Is that a petroglyph at the top of the hill at the beginning of your video? (At 0:50?) Or is it something that some other modern day hikers did. If so, they did a good job, as it really does look like a petroglyph to me.

What is the temperature of the water ?
I herd there haveing trouble at glen canyon dam do think you can report on that
Question. Why weren’t buoys added to underwater boats, structure, etc for safety. Would park or marine officials be able to add a few at a time. Seems like a boat safety issue.
The shore of Lake Mead would test your FAT Tire E-Bikes very well!
Where have you guys been?
How deep is lake mead as of today?
Is there a combined storage chart for Mead and Powell? If the year to year splits and dates aren't consistent the data on lake mead alone doesn't tell us much.
What about Hoover Dam?
No heard the water level was going up ? What happened ?
Y'all have been missed
Safe and effective. High and dry
Joey & Maria, do you have access to equipment that can detect nuclear radioactivity in Las Vegas?

I hate fishing in reservoirs due to all the hidden snag points.

Hi guys! You need a bicycle!
Powell pipes are damaged fyi
I knew it would get worse. Just a matter of time. A drought isn't broken by one spring raise. Be cautious out there. Snakes 🐍 n such
The wooden boat skeleton is definitely old. The industry stopped producing wooden boats in the late 50's as fiberglass took over the scene. When the boat was sunk is anybody's guess.
10% coverage but, It's supposed to rain all week
