This is awesome information. I have an induction stovetop; and I can't tell you how many espresso pots I've returned because they burn then rust. Now that I know what to get, I can shop wisely. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I have a question. I own an Ilsa someone washed it and inadvertently discarded the reducer plate for the funnel. Where can I order one. My pot is a 6cup.

So, It would be incorrect to call this espresso. What would be most accurate to call it, just coffee? Also, are there any methods to make a less strong coffee without being borderline espresso power....?

James hoffmann just released a video about how you could simply add more water to your cup so its not so stong and more similar to a nice regular cup of coffee.

Big mistake with the Napoletana: you fill the “base pot” either with cold water and heat it up to boiling or you fill it with boiling water THEN you fill the coffee container and then place the “spout pot” UPSIDEDOWN on top of the base pot then you flip it so the hot water seeps through the coffee grinds and into the spout pot which is now on the bottom
