Even with a phonenumber from a friend i dont receive a code to play COD. The support didnt help me as well cause they either dumb as hell or some KIs with generated answers. I was already able to change my number on the battlenet account, they sent me a code to verify the new number on the account so far so good, the problem is that after that I closed battlenet, restarted my PC and connected normally, entered mw3 and when it asked me again to verify the number (new) THE DAMN CODE NEVER ARRIVED TO ME, this is a joke wtf!! The support doesn't help me and from what I see it's the weekend they won't answer me this is bullshit
When this happens, it’s usually a carrier issue with your current provider. Have you tried doing a free Google voice number? You can text with these numbers too.

It does not work. The authenticator is active. But no code appears when I select the authenticator when deleting the phone number. Only with a new login, a code is sent to the authenticator.

Hmm… In the auth app, you select manually enter a code.. then when you go to CHANGE your number, select Authenticator option instead of SMS and use the manual code to get past the auth part to change your number.
Give it a little bit for the number change to reflect/replicate access their network/servers. I know it’s stupid. Make sure to sign out of battle.net launcher for pc and back in and try signing into battle.net website as well.

When you are inside the app? What part are you having trouble with? You need to setup the Authenticator to work with the app. Enable it on PC then download battle.net app on your phone. Then let me know what part you are stuck at please

You have to enable the Authenticator in the security settings of battle.net and download the battle.net app on your phone to finish the setup. Then follow the rest of the vid.
Try logging into battle.net the actual website and make sure the number shows updated there. Sometimes it takes a little bit. Another thing I tried was changing my default browser to something different like edge

if ur having the problem with signing out not making a difference. Make sure to sign out of battle net On ur Browser not on the launcher

You have to select the option to manually enter a code on the app on your phone. Then type the code from your auth app on your phone into your pc.

The authentic code gives me 8 numbers and the code number limit is only 6 numbers what should i do?

It will say already have the battlenet app link it to your account. I click that and it sends a code to the phone number

With the Authenticator app you should just be able to sign into it with email and password
