    Nice on Jake, Ive enjoyed my Akela tinker and its turned out great, as goes the cheekriser I understand everyone is different but Ive found lifting the scope up high on any bullpup Ive owned as it opens the fit n feel of a BP and and stops it feeking cramped so dont search for a rifle type cheekweld as you’ll have your head tilted all the time

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Chris, the scope height was actually quite comfortable when we got used to it, but a lot more work to do, I saw the post on your SSG and we are going to follow suit and fit one in the next few weeks, just want to try and make it the best it can possibly be. Thanks for watching.

      Sub12 Airgunners Im just working on something else for it as I couldn’t get fps spread as tight as Id like it

      @@chrisbarker1895 Last night we had a proper play with the reg and we were really impressed with what it can do, the rifle went from 56 usable shots to over 200, with the hammer spring cut down and no spike when it comes off reg its also much quieter than it was originally, we wasn't playing to much attention to the FPS spread because it all needs time to bed in, but 95% of the shots were within 10 FPS of each other. We gave the barrel another polish and can't wait to have a go of it on Saturday. Thanks for watching.

      Yes I found over 300 shots out this .22 as you know, check the crown as mine was laughable

    Fantastic video fella's I'm glad you like the rifle. The stock on that one is just straight up gorgeous.
    I agree 100% on the cheekpiece, it's funny how they made it adjustable so you can raise your already too high cheekpiece even higher! Other than that though they're a lovely little gun.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Dan, the little rifle is coming up very nicely, we are really quite pleased with it, the stock is going to come up beautiful with a little oil and some finishing, shame about the cheek piece, its a well made bit of kit but just at the wrong height. Thanks for watching.

    I think you might of had a Defective one, I ordered mines from pyramid air and it came out the box almost shooting 5 pellets in the same hole at 50 yards. And I also have the .177 but your rite about the cheekpiece, hopefully they find a fix

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to remember we are in the UK so our power will be much lower than yours, at 50 yards and sub 12ft/lb of muzzle energy we are on the limit of usability, the pellet is falling not flying at 50 yards. I have shot a few high power air rifles now and a much fairer comparison to us would be to test the rifle at 75 / 100 yards then you start running into the same limitations as us. But its always possible you got a really nice rifle, they are out there, and if you get a good barrel they can be a very accurate. Thanks for watching.

    Wondered if you do a real budget one. Like the Artemis P35. Handled a P 35 yesterday at the gun shop. Was kind of surprised.

      @sub12airgunners  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have made an adjustable barrel weight for the Impact so thats coming next, lots of information on the FAC version but not so much for the Sub 12 so thats the next Impact project. Thanks for watching.

    Looking forward to the build, I'm sure that's going to come out shooting really good.
    I think you should have a look at the rotex rm8 next it's worth it in my opinion, shoots good and is regulated and I'm sure you could make a £500 gun competing with the big boys 😊👍👍👍👍

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, the RM8 was a rifle on my shortlist but I wanted a bullpup, but you never know, the idea for this series is to get it shooting really well and move it on towards the next rifle, Thanks for watching.
