You guys should install an overhead retractable extension/drop cord reel over the cleaning area. Just pull down, and plug in; it would keep the cords off the floor, out of the way, and away from the moisture.

Including the cuff links my grandpa thought he lost a years before. And about $70-something in change, no wonder that carpet was so heavy.
My brother dropped an entire plate of pasta with sauce on our olive green and black shag rug. The dog came by, helped out a bit and you couldn’t tell where it had been.

I don't know why the "blue collar" remark bothered me so much. As a former "white collar" worker I get a lot more satisfaction now that I'm not working on climbing some ladder and working with a team instead. We may not be related but we're a family.
Also, just curious, do y'all ever get a rug sometimes where you're like "I'm gonna wear a mask on this one, I don't know what's trapped in here?" LOL. It seems like with this job, I'd probably wear a mask most of the time, just to avoid inhaling whatever might be getting dusted off of the rugs.
