The UN warns tourists not to visit the India Pakistan border. Not only that, but we shouldn't be within 10km of the India Pakistan border. The problem we have is that, the west have been very wrong about a lot of what we've experienced here in India. So we wasn't going to start trusting them now. The Indian people have been nothing but welcoming, treating us like their own since we arrived. We felt very safe and very comfortable. And we're glad we went! We had an amazing experience... We felt the passion and love for the country like we've never experienced anywhere in the world! We thank the Sikh community for taking care of us too... unrivalled hospitality! Waheguru! 🖤🇮🇳
We didn’t expect to see this at the lowering of the flags ceremony at the Wagah border near Lahore. Every evening on the border between India and Pakistan is a daily military practice whereby they have a ceremonial fight scene, dancing, music, epic marches, lowering the flags and close the gates for the night. Join us for the ceremony and meet the soldiers of Pakistan and India and the rangers who take participation in this parade. We loved it, you need to go!

They said very correctly....DON'T go near unauthorized border areas. India Pakistan share long borders stretching from Rajasthan till J&K....these are routes for infiltration and smuggling. UN never meant wagah which is a tourist spot and absolutely safe.
When Ukraine and Russia War started, Indian Government was successfully able to evacuate 20k Indians... And atleast 700 of them were evacuated by negotiations with both Putin and Zelensky...and made a safe corridor for Indians to get to safer places during ongoing full fledged War with Modern weapons.... This shows the commitment of the Indian Government towards their people.... Small Crimes do happen in India which is common across all nations, but when it comes to security, the Indian Army will never compromise on it...be it is of Indians or Tourists....

They always highlights the negative picture n news of india .. so in people's mind they see india only as a poor caotic country..but india is not like that... I am pretty sure when they said not to visit India Pakistan border, it wasn't referring to wagah border (which is tourist attraction), but the unauthorised area, as there are cases of smuggling and such in those areas, and you can face serious trouble if you go there

so if you were to go to a random part of high tention border, then what do you expect the response of army to be?

and worst case scenario, if you are acting out, not cooperating or running at border or doing anything that can be deemed dangerous, then I won't be surprised if they immediately take you down and you can be criminally charged

In view of the UN guidelines... there are international rules and regulations which all countries follow and armed forces of all nations are posted quite far from the Zero Point of any border . So in common sense no one will go to a border area. People who live in the area all know how the whole system works. This is the rule all over the World. Wagah Border is one of the various official crossing points and the parade of the Retreat Ceremony where the Flags of India and Pakistan are lowered and the border gates are shut for the day.
The international geopolitical scenario is such that every one plays the game seeing their own benefits and rightly so.
Everyone does things taking into account their own benefits and Interests as well as keeping their citizens happy so that they get a favorable vote in coming elections.
So International policies of Nations is... " You scratch my back and in response I will scratch your back".
Suppose Ukraine would have been an Asian country near Singapore or Malaysia. The western countries would not have bothered about the war, but because Ukraine is at the European Eastern axis sandwiched between Poland and Russia, Europe feels the heat so the international community is all ganged up against Putin. If the same thing were happening in Africa or Asia then the whole perspective and support of the European Union or the United Nations would have been totally different.
