    Your videos have been helping me so much. I'm a US university student and will be doing an MA in Law with hopes to work there after, and I'm terrified, so thank you! x

      Thanks so much for your comment and it’s great to hear that LAB has made it all the way to the US! Don’t be terrified, be excited! You have your whole career ahead of you! X

      Law and Broader I'm trying to remain optimistic! It's just difficult because fewer jobs for non-EU (for now) and I have 0 support here haha. Your videos gave me hope at 4 am 😂 x

      Don’t let that put you off. All law firms want the most talented people working for them and they will make it happen if they want you so just make yourself super-desirable and your non-EU status won’t make a jot of difference! Always good to have a fresh background and perspective so it’s actually a potential plus point. Own it! X

    Do you have any tips for how to get a training contract prior to getting a GDL?

    Hi, I’ve got an assessment centre soon, I’m a little worried as I finished my A-levels almost 2 years ago now and haven’t engaged in a law career since then. Do you think this will limit me?

    Question for you: Exactly what character traits are selected in these Assessment Centers? The applicants with Dark Tetrad personality characteristics will win every time. Once hired WATCH YOUR BACK!

    Hi! Thank you so much for this video! I was wondering if you had any tips on what I should be wearing? I know it sounds silly but I wasn’t sure if I should be wearing a blazer or would a smart dress be ok...

    Chrissie, can you please tell me what your work ex was like when you were offered the TC- how many months of pure legal exp? I know it isn't binary but please can you let me know?

      Hi! I think I had about 5 weeks in total and it was all informal. No vac schemes or anything at a large firm. Thanks!

      Law and Broader I will have industry internship experience of 8 months in law firms by the time I will apply, does that give me a major advantage?

    Hi Chrissie, I have to say that your videos have been very helpful, thanks for putting the time in to make them and help out, I have a phone interview as part of the training contract app, do you have any advice or experience about it?
    Thanks in advance

    • @LawandBroader
      @LawandBroader  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Definitely prep/review your competency grid if you have one (make on if not!). A lot of telephone interview questions are based on competency scenarios so make sure you have some good examples on the tip of your tongue. Make sure you review your application really well as well in case they ask you some questions about it. Also have a scan of the firms website on the day to make sure there is no big news you need to know about! Best of luck! C

      @@LawandBroader thanks very much, it's impressive how u take ur time to respond thoroughly, I really appreciate it, to share my experience, there were competency questions with examples, also a recent commercial issue question and lastly a legal experience related question, the whole interview was commercial heavy as the firm is known as a commercial firm

    Sounds scary to be honest.
    How do you even prepare for this?
