    I am on the waiting list to receive the Dingerbuilt intake. They are very responsive in returning emails and so for the customer service has been amazing. Big plus is its American Made. Thank you for your time.

    Awesome intake! One of the first things I did when my mods started limiting what intake I can run lol he released it just in time

      @@eastcoastish that means a lot I really appreciate the support! I’ve been utilizing your videos to guid me on my installs since I got my Grom. I’m actually just about to watch your Kitaco oil pump video now. Mine just got here the other day and I think will be my next install

    Just placed my order as it came available. Once again the customer service from Dinger Built was amazing. Email was responded to within 30 min. Dave should do seminars on customer service.

    This composite tube might run cooler than an aluminum one would. I wonder if I could use that tube with a k&n filter? I love k&n

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I test fit my K&N filter from the Chimera intake and it was the same diameter.

    Sweet. I have mine waiting to go on. Did you order the high flow Kitaco oil pump from Hardracing yet….. for the oil cooler? We buy a lot of the same parts so I figured I’d ask. Great minds think alike. 🤟

    I have the fabricated stainless steel intake from Dinger on my Grom SF. It’s metal art. It’s such a shame he took the cheap way out and went with 3D printing. It looks like all of his intakes are now 3D printed which is such a shame. And what’s crazy is that the price of this plastic, 3D printed part isn’t much cheaper than what I paid for my SS version. This intake is definitely doable in metal. Also, what was Honda thinking with that terrible intake placement?

    Comparing the TST intake cover on your wife's grom and to your intake setup?
    Which one would you pick?

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hard to compare since the Repsol Grom is so much more heavily modified. If you're going for light mods, I think the TST cover is the way to go. If you're planning on doing more than intake/exhaust/cam then you'll need to remove the stock airbox for an oil cooler at some point which means you'll need a different intake system like the Chimera or Dinger.

      @@eastcoastish Thank you for the quick response.
      Eventually the goal is performance but when should I start the mods is the question i'm debating on.
      Love the content! Keep up with the great work!

    Dumb question, but why do breather tubes route into air intakes? Don’t those need to vent into the atmosphere? I would imagine getting 2nd hand oil in the intake isn’t the best idea.
    I was going to T my avail cam vent into my breather; I currently have the Mnnthbx. I’m going to switch to the DingerBuilt runner, to be able to fit the oil cooler.
    My breather currently just has a mini uni on it. Would I just keep that setup and cap the outlet on the DB?
    Lol. Sorry to be all over the place with my questions.

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The breather is just to relieve pressure in the crankcase, by routing it into intake, it's in a filtered environment so you're not getting any dust / debris into the engine. And if you do get any blow-by (oil coming out through the breather tube under excessive pressure), it just gets burned instead of spilling out.

    • @CIarkNova
      @CIarkNova 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      eastcoastish so it is totally safe to T route the avail cam cover hose to that same connection?

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CIarkNova yeh I don’t see why that’d be a problem

    • @CIarkNova
      @CIarkNova 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, so guess what happened today. I guess not running an oil cooler made me spit a bunch of oil through my breather, which is the Mnnthbx intake, and sits above the intake. I think I got a bunch of oil sucked through the intake filter.

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CIarkNova nah, nothing to do with an oil cooler. Too much crankcase pressure blew out some oil and since the MNNTHBX has a filter on the breather instead of going back into the intake to get burned it leaked out. Was your oil level high / were you running it particularly hard when it happened?

    Do you recommend the Dingerbuilt intake for the 2022 Honda Monkey? If so, would I need a tune? I have the Yoshimura RS3 slip-on exhaust which retains stock catalytic converter.

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dinger makes great stuff. Honestly with any engine mods I’d recommend at least an ECU tune. Personally I’d recommend getting the RCMiniX and AF2 as a first mod and then you’re in the clear for any mods you want to do from there.

    Just got my dingerbuilt short intake in. Why In TF does mine not have an inlet for the air sensor or the vent tube?? Seems to me this is unusable

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's strange since their product page still shows them having those. You don't *need* either, but it's a convenient mounting point for the air sensor and it's nice to not need a second filter for the breather. I'd reach out to David at Dinger and ask.

    • @rnd59
      @rnd59 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What did you find out about your intake not having an air sensor inlet or vent tube? The photo on their website shows the intake having both of those? THanks for your help.
