i always chuckle when i see these comparisons-first off, the wtp that you did was not rasterized, but the supacolor one way--that in itself will give off a different feel to the shirt. if you want to do a true comparison for all to see, use the same design in the exact same way-then compare--I am not saying one or the other is better-I am just saying do a true comparison.
I was thinking that all through this video. The shark design has printing gaps in the design so the shirt can stretch, as if it was rasterized. Good video but that was a very basic and bad comparison, there should have been a like for like comparison but I'm guessing he was fitting in his sold shirt sale designs so not to waste the ink and shirt.
SuperColor site is a bit confusinf for me, but I really like the vibrancy of the supacolor prints. What are your thoughts on Sublimation solution for cotton garments?
I own the Icolor 560 and it has been such a learning curve! I have messed up on so many shirts in this process of learning. I have had it a year now. The supplies are so expensive as well! I do not like the paper feel of white toner transfers, so I do my best to rasterize each image. The RIP software that came with my icolor has some presets that are helpful, if you know how to use them….that is the biggest learning curve!
I totally agree! Marrying wasn't as hard as learning how to print the image itself the correct way based on the design. I've had it for some time and I'm still learning
I printed a shirt with the i560 and after 2 or 3 washes it was quite broken up, what do you think went wrong and how can I stop this from happening next time? Thanks
I just purchased a white toner printer. The design is cracking after second or third wash. I watched several videos and a lot recommend to rasterize white toner transfers. However I can see you didn’t rasterize your image and you mention that it looks like new even after 20 washes. Do you usually rasterize your images? How can I avoid the cracking when washing?
I don't like rasterizing because I just don't like the look of it to be completely honest. Unfortunately with white toner cracking is inevitable. Durability will depend largely on the type of A and B paper used as well as the finishing press. There's a product called T-Sheet which helps a lot with durability. It adheres the print to the shirt more. I mentioned in the video 10-12 washes. While not like new, they still look fairly well considering the wrinkling. I noticed wrinkling usually starts to happen 1 or 2 washes in. Cracking usually happens shortly after the 10 washes with most of the shirts I've done. That could also depend on the image.
@@NekoPrints thank you for your reply. I tried to look for the product you mentioned T-sheet but I wasn’t able to find anything online. Can you share a link or tell me where can I find it? Thanks in advance
@@bassoomash Of course! You can get it here. www.icolorprint.com/store/Heat-Transfer-Media/IColor-T-Seal-Finishing-Sheet-Lasts-Up-To-500-Presses-A3-117-in-x-165-in Hope it helps!
Its all about the paper you use. Some get hung up on one paper. Also, if you DO NOT use enough pressure it will crack. Mine can last many washings and drying on HIGH heat. Most just dont know what they are doing. There is more to it then following instructions and things change a bit depending on the type and Quality of material. Im in a few groups and many dont rasterize. Shit....I dont rasterize 🤣🤣🤣
@Natural Health Revolution I hate rasterizing 😂 I don't like the look of it. I'm guilty of sticking to 1 type of paper. The point you made about pressure is true. T-Sheet is supposed to press down the image further down into the garment, which makes me think that more pressure could do the same thing? I have a few shirts I'm still using that look good. Some have minor cracks but nothing huge or noticeable. What I will say I don't like is how it wrinkles.
Don’t like the feel of Supacolor or white toner feels cheap. It’s just preference. What do you think of DTF? When I do large orders and depending on the artwork I like Plastisol transfers you don’t get the rubber feel I like Transfer Express custom transfers just depends on your needs many options🤔
I totally get it! What's best for me sometimes won't work for everyone else. I haven't actually used Dtf transfers yet to be honest. I suggest to just go with what works best for you and never stop experimenting 😁 there are so many options everyone is bound to find what works best for them
I saw a couple of videos and they all said that started cracking after the first wash ( white toner printer ) You said after 20 washes . I doubt that. Big time !!
With proper care and pressing they can. You can also try different types of paper. I also use Tsheet. Another thing is, people sometimes confuse wrinkles with cracks. White toner definitely wrinkles after washing and drying. Like, bad. And it feels and looks like wrinkled paper. It can look like a Crack to some but to me, it's a wrinkle. Real physical cracking doesn't set in till later on
@@NekoPrints Thank you for your response. I have a question ? Would you recommend it for business ? I’m afraid people would come back and won’t order anything else due to the wrinkles and cracking . I’m tempted but I’m afraid I will spend a lot of money for something that doesn’t work 100%
@@FLPAINTER honestly I never used it for business shirts. I use it for one offs like etsy orders, birthday shirts, and other media like invitations and stuff like that. For work shirts I stick to DTF or screen print transfers or my dtg printer for that same reason. While they are good, they won't last the needed time for a shirt that's used heavily
When I use to do white toner I use do no more than 25 shirts. No we got dtf and supacolor. I'm still thinking about whitetoner for hats necklables and left chest
It definitely makes it feel a bit softer. Not a huge difference, but I noticed it. It looks a lot more pressed on the shirt itself also. As for the longetivity, I think it lasted a bit few extra washes before cracking but nothing huge. Maybe 3 or 4 extra
@@NekoPrints Thanks for the rapid response. I really want this printer simply for the near zero maintenance but I don’t want to jeopardize print quality vs DTF. I’ve decided on a DTF printer for the quality. Thanks again!

That's a basic paper to put up against the supa color.... Also mention they have the smart cut so you can make your image bigger. Also if you're peeling off that transfer on the white toner and you get a little of your image that ends up on the transfer you can put it back down and repress for another 30 seconds and that should fix that problem. I would look into ultra bright and select which has stretch but with each paper there is going to be a learning curve. Hi, When pressing the shirt for the second time, is it best to use a T-seal to get rid of the glossy image? Thanks for the video. Very helpful!
Yes! T-Seal also helps really get that design pressed in the shirt more than kraft paper. I highly recommend it!
