Target boards are back and well ... let's just be real and talk about the pros and cons of them! I hope you guys enjoyed this video. More videos are always on the way so stay tuned!
Andy has a platform with 5 mil subs and honestly reviewed budget skateboards. He could have mentioned his brand at any moment in this but chose to promote local skateshops and saw the positives in the cheaper option. Big respect. It's been a while since I've watched Schrock's stuff but glad to see he's still making good content.

I still have a Target board I bought probably ten years ago for $40. The design is Tony Hawk Huckjam Series with an orange skull-shaped squid, however I was told by someone that those were only sold at Walmart? Either way, it was bad to ride, same plastic wrap issue and bearings don't want to roll. I didn't ride much at all on it, but still managed to chip the wood quite a bit. Also the trucks did not want to flex at all. I didn't have much money back then, but now that I do I have proper skateboards that I chose parts for myself and it's a huge difference. I don't recommend those boards unless you really don't have the money.

I was very fortunate that my father was in a position to buy my brother & I pro model boards from the jump. I remember hopping onto these “big box” boards and even as a kid I felt like I was asking for a hospital visit. They have def come a long way. It’s almost similar to the budget guitars nowadays. The super cheap ones are actually not bad at all.
even the prices of walmart skateboards increased, i thought it was due to inflation. im glad from your video to see there has been some improvement on the quality of skateboards. i will look at my local target to see them in person. awesome video

I like how he described boards but at the end of the day I’d recommend not getting a board from the store and getting it from a local even if it’s a complete it will be 1000x better
So I have a question, usually people say that the bearings are the problem so could I just get some redz and put them on a walmart board?
You might have to change the wheels as well. And trucks if it has plastic trucks

Depending on the wheels but here and there you will find boards that can actually roll decent just I’d recommend getting harder wheels if your doing tricks and soft wheels for cruising

My first bored was actually the vision board
Back in the day I bought A board from Zellers And it was an 80's 1 kick board and got a pair of venture trucks and 35mm Mutant wheels for xmas. Boards have come along way since.
Better than what I started with I had a old hobbie cat with spray on grip tape from Walmart but ukno what I learned how to Ollie on it 🤣 now I have 2 custom boards a blind, an hook - ups
I skateboarded as a kid, I was decent, not amazing, but decent. Want to get back into it and now that I'm an adult. Grabbed a ReDo skateboard from Target because it doesn't look like trash. No not pro, just not total junk. Like buying a Schwinn mountain bike instead of a Roadmaster mountain bike. It's a notable improvement, but it's nothing impressive. Same vibe here. There's better without trying, but again, at least this isn't total trash.

my element deck actually broke in half so i got a target skateboard and just replaced the trucks and wheels and it surprisingly actually is decent

Andy I would love to skateboard but my parents said if I buy my self a skateboard I’m allowed but all skateboards are really expensive in the uk and your skateboard are also expensive in the uk😢 but when I’m sad you and Ryder always cheers me up 😊

I ride a 8.125 board, I’m 4’10 and I’m only 11 years old 😂😅 but not a target board my first board was a 16 year old Walmart board that had chips and horrible grip tape then for my birthday a baker board

My first skateboard came from target, never really tried skating it till I got older.
Went to take the wheels off and the "bearings" were little nylon faux bearings lmao.
If you haven’t already you should do a video with one of these boards slowly upgrading each part making it as good as it can get , haha !
By the time you spend $ putting better wheels and bearing on one of these you could have got a better cheap board to begin with

have a darkstar walmart board had it for quite a few years just a year or so ago got really into skating again got new wheels and bearings my board is chipped on both ends the tail is completely smashed there's barely any left the nose is my new tail but it's still missing like half of it. I get paid in 2 days can't wait to buy a new board from my local skateshop that will actually be quality and not dog shit.

target boards should be advertised as strictly beginner boards so that when you transition to an actual pro board you become a skateboarding god
Professional just means you are regularly paid to do something, dumbass. Therefore if you are regularly paid to skate with a board, it is professional regardless of quality, Yu fucking idiot!

I mean the braille boards from Walmart were really really good for 20 bucks
