Can't imagine how many visitors they had just because of FO76.. someone should ask them about the Encl.. 'Management' 😅
Someone told me i could buy a power armor here with 'modus', where can i find him? lol
@@setzurutuza6102 modus is in the whitespring bunker, accessed from outside. It has a location on the map, just south east of the whitespring. To enter you will have to complete some quest-lines to become a general in the army.
They’ve at least had… like… *several*. A handful…. even.
Bethesda should sponsor a Fallout gift shop there.
Must have been pretty to surreal to have virtual experience of a place before being there irl. Fun video mate. 👍🏼
Actually not his first rodeo. He's been to Helvetia for Fasnaucht too.
@@Lordoftheapes79 i did also see that one!
Remember when The Pitt DLC came out for Fallout 3. When I left the loading screen and went to the entrance of the city, was pretty fun a surreal being on a bridge that I've been on IRL dozen of times before. Jokingly, the place hasn't changed either. 🤣🤣🤣
Dude, this video is AWESOME!!! I knew some of the locations and items in game were based on real things and places, but this is so cool to see all the real things!
Over 1000 hours in the game and I did not know about the suplhur drinking fountain! 😵💫
The only reason I knew about it was because of that Halloween event that only happened the first year because "Jester" floated around there for the event.
been playing for a few years now and I also found out about it just few months ago 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Same here !
@@djwak59 😅
I live just north of Boston, the Costal Cottage might as well be my actual house. There's definitely a lot in Fallout that can give you a sureal experience when the two overlap.
Never seen a White Springs video like this one, before. Thanks for the walkthroughs. Also, thank you to the staff of the Greenbriar for allowing you to videograph for comparisons. =)
Rifle, I am so glad you do these videos. I've liked this game since it came out, because it's one of the few things I have that connects me to my Grand-mom (maternal grandmother--she was born in WV). Thank you so much for the work you put into everything.
Wow! That's incredible. As someone from Massachusetts, I can say I'm not shocked, they did a great job with the greater Boston area! 😄
The nuclear bunker being placed there was for the same reason we can play in wv in 76. Who would think to nuke there. They revealed the greenbriar bunker after they built another one somewhere else. Even the part about accidentally hitting an employee is true. The rest will become hostile and try to kill you.
Wow, a few times in this video i got confused which was in game and which was real life
i used to live in white sulphur springs :,)
Did you ever visit the resort?
Born and raised in WV and this games still pretty fascinating because of this. I’m in Morgantown and they even got the PRT in game at the WVU campus. I’m 20 minutes from Morgantown High School it’s so funny seeing it in game.
I like these type of videos.
Great video. I really like seeing these real world comparisons, keep on making them please!
Very cool to see especially as someone from West Virginia. Hope you continue to check out location seeing as how you've done a video on Whitesprings/Greenbrier and Fascnaunt (butchering that spelling). You could check out Charleston too or Camden park. Sadly, the North Charleston Fire Station that may have inspired the fire station in game was unfortunately torn down late last year.
Thanks so much for your time putting this together. I’ve often wondered how many of the locations in the game are accurate.
My wife’s father had a business in West Virginia, and she spent some years there. When I told her about some of the locations in the game, especially Berkley Springs castle, she couldn’t believe how accurate that was.
Good job on this !
I've been to Harper's Ferry a tonnnn, and that is also something they took great care in recreating. The scale is a little off, like the town is 50% smaller, but places such as Washington Street and John Brown's Fort are represented beautifully.
Awesome Video, great Work Rifle. I saw it when you first put it out a few years ago. If i would be there, i would be totally confused because i was hundred of times in the game in the Whitespring and that is what it “normal” for me. Again great work.❤
Love these comparison vids, your Helvetia one was cool to see too👍
Planning my visit to WV check out the real life locations. Love these videos!
I took the bunker tour a few years ago and it was super cool to see the resort and then go back and visit again in game
damn I really enjoyed watching this video, thx for your effort
I got to visit the greenbrier when I was a teenager, and it was awesome to see how accurate the Whitesprings is to it. That bright green carpet was one of the main things I remembered, and the first thing I checked in the game, lol. Pretty impressive attention to detail
We took a trip to various places in wv like point pleasant and the pumpkin house but when we stayed at this B&B in harpers ferry I instantly recognized the location of the house in game
I find this very interesting great video rifle
Good remake brother!! 😃👍🏻
Their ability to make games with the detail the do is simply amazing. Only issue I have with them are the game killing bugs that come with it. So many bugs that it makes a hoarders roach infestation look like it's wiped clean enough to eat off the floor.
Just watching I feel like I have been there before.
Thank-you for putting this together! It is so cool to see the comparison. I had no idea that it was based on a real life location! Didn't you feel the urge to go loot some places though?! ;) Especially that shuttle bus?
This was a real treat to wake up to this morning. Great video man! Any more lactations you are planning to review?
Great Video!!!
This is so freaking awesome wow 🤯😳 even the underground bunker so cool thanks for sharing awesome video my friend 😁and the Sulphur water fountain never knew about that 👀
Thank you for this video 👍. I had similar Deja Vu going to the salton sea and Bombay beach after playing GTAV
very cool, thank you for showing us this.
Ahhh the mall music makes me feel warm and cosy inside
I think I saw a couple of videos like this one about Point Pleasant and Helvetia. would be cool more videos like this, maybe about some of the towns like Morgantown, Grafton, Flatwoods, or Charleston.
I’ve been to DC and Vegas. Need to get around to here, Helvetia, goodsprings, and Boston!
What a great experience, thanks for sharing!
You should ask why the "Service Area" had laser grid and biometric lock
Great Video 👍
This makes me love fallout more they do this sooooo often and extremely well executed in all of the games tbh
Stayed there with my wife (she's from WV) a few years ago. Crazy expensive, but a one time thing. You didn't mention the space to the left for dining looks very similar and the small shops in the buildings are all there asking with the golf course.
I never noticed the trash cans were the same!
I can even hear the bug's auditory hallucination of the protectron saying "Ahhh" and collapsing on its own.
Wow.
Thanks for this.
I may have my gripes with Beth, but I do appreciate the humor, creativity and attention to detail which has been put into this game.
👍😎👍
as a life long resident of WV, the resort is the only location they got accurate
I mean, i dont see a ghoul or cram in sight. Obviously, where are the giant robots
“Engaging red Chinese aggressors”
did you make some years ago the same video. good video just the same. Thums up mate.😎👏
Soooo I been playing a looonnnggg time and I had no idea how insanely replicated this was , that's freaking awesome
I must say they worked so well to give near real life expreience
Interesting , Thank You . And to think so much survived
Holy Crap! That’s the Famous Green Briar Hotel! Made by C&O, Chesapeake & Ohio as a vacation destination promoting passenger rail service. Dang I never made the connection until you said, Greenbriar. 👍🏻
-Well done ✅
My wife and I did something similar when we traveled to DC a few years back. We took a bunch of acid and walked around town visiting landmarks pretending we were in the Capital Wasteland. Absolute blast seeing all the things from our favorite games in real life.
Another excellent comparison tour. Does it actually have any kind of train station near the hotel.
"Due to reports of spinal contusions, robot chiropractic and massage services are no longer available."
I live in white sulpher springs!
Might have been helpful to provide some historical background of the Greenbrier’s role in “Continuity Of Government” (COG) plans going back to ww2. It wasn’t obvious why Bethesda included the facility in their game world.
Took the bunker tour a couple of years ago: creepy how they included a high-capacity crematorium.
i would trip if i woke up outside the WS mall entrance IRL. that's exactly where i park my in game character 😂
Now we need to compare Skyline Valley with the original one after the update
Wow
in the Fire station in game use to have a firetruck inside. game but last 2-3 years it has gone as some of the buses and trucks over the map have disappeared as will.😎
I've never been there but it all feels very familiar and I could make my way around. Good job Bethesda.
huh, and I thought the resort’s eclectic design was a result of survivors just using whatever they had on-hand 😂
Good video
WOW,,,,JUST WOW!!!
Im happy the Greenbrier got a good representation in fallout 76. Very informative video, i always wanted to see a comparison. On the flip side, i believe they did not do a good job at recreating many notiable buildings and monuments in Morgantown. they did a decent job at recreating a version of the buildings, however, It was very disappointing to residents excited about the game for how they recreated the town. Sadly, this game fell into obscurity, and many don’t even know the town and university is featured in a video game.
This game is so good. I've got 344 hours play time logged. I haven't played in 2 years because of health problems but i wish i could get back to it.
In game, water at the well heals, real life, water at that well kills.
Is there a vertibird on the roof?
I want to go there it is on the bucket list for my trip to west Virginia
You can visit as a tourist but to stay over night... $$$$$
Now I want a comparison to fallout 3 and new Vegas and fallout 4 next please.
If only they put this kind of effort into the mechanics of the game.
I think my one beef w them was that they didn't give Sutton its dam n lake area.
Has anyone made a map of the Whitespring interior? I've never seen one.
Ok now do the bunker! :-p
They have always done excellent work on making stuff look realistic!! Fallout 3 in DC looked amazing also. I have been to Camden park in real life more times then I can count and they did great with the Widow maker roller coaster!! It looks kinda sketchy in real life😂😂✌🏼
"How it looks" or "what it looks like." Never "how it looks like."
Wonder how long till they incorporate robots into the hotel?😂
Weird that you can’t record the bunker i thought it was decommissioned
Nope, railroad leases the space for a data center. Safe place, no major weather catastrophes, no earthquakes.. and just happens to be in a nuclear bunker
The real life counterpart looks pretty convincing.... but where are the robots? Hmmm?
me living in west virginia i can say all locations are pretty accurate
Was there a dumpster full of skeletons in the back of the real white springs? 💀
😮😮😮
Love the dedication but man staying at the Greenbrier is ridiculously expensive, but it is a 5* resort
oh look a puppy! 😁
❤
🤯
Wow it’s a real place? Next thing you’ll tell me Fallon’s is a real store
Wait white spring is real😭😭😭😭
yoo!
Bethesda has always been shockingly accurate when creating reproduction landmarks.
I have a friend who lived in Boston, and we found his apartment building in Fallout 4.
Really could have used a different font than a flourished Zapfino for the game's plinth. Even that alternate Garamond used on the real thing would have worked just fine. Zapfino is just...yuck.
you should return to destiny 2 for one last time. just to play the destiny 2 final shape campain.
there's a fountain that cures diseases here....after all that time looking for ingredients for disease cures...omfg
Why is it insane that they copied something that exists in order to make their game?
Insane means like crazy to the point of no return
Yea im not a fan of living in west Virginia because nothing to do here really but its a great place to live if u love outdoors and want low housing and low cost of living
And horrible weather/thunderstorms, it can be pretty on nice days of course, but man is the place prone to some crazy weather, but I suppose Midwest folks are used to it, but really does hinder the amount of time one can enjoy outside.
Depends, Atlantic city is not 1 % real
Looks just as empty as in real life as it does in the game.Good job Bethesda.
maybe its just because I 3d model, but honestly I dont find fallout's model that impressive. I have no interest in besting it either so dont ask me
you know what, im kinda considering it. got nothing better to do, and this comment ill prob forget about. but if I remember to, I will make an attempt to make it. ill make it 1:1 tho. issue is idk where to start. anyone got floorplans with measurement?
oh shii 1 min ago 🔥
