Actually just because one guy dies doesn't mean the rest of the bands life long achievements should be forgot about. These guys are still just in love with music as anyone else. They are craftsmen, artists, and human.

can't stand reading negative comments regarding Michael Sweet filling in for someone else, or anyone filling in for anyone for that matter- if the job gets done, then its worth the credit-after all, for those that have commented "sweet sucks" are obviously NOT music critics or have an ear for it, period- he nails the Boston sound to the letter, AND, has one of the finest voices in MUSIC- not just rock, but MUSIC today... What always cracks me up, is reading some guys review, not that his opinion for the band matters one iota...that he hates the guy filling in, when HIS band of choice went out and CHOSE the replacement for whomever was replaced...Appreciate it for what it is, and what I hear, is the CLASSIC BOSTON SOUND!

I have been a Boston fan since 1978. I still get chills when I hear Sweet perform with Boston. I have seen them 10 times and his live contributions, both vocal and guitar, are invaluable to the sound of Boston during that era. I believe he help set the bar and table for the current Boston touring band.

Michael has been a very positive influence on me, as well. I’ve always admired him for sticking to his faith in Jesus in his music. He’s never backed down from his faith and he’s never backed down from being a true rocker. He admits his flaws and keeps on being a witness. We need more of that in our society. But, I’ve also always loved Michael’s voice. He’s an amazing singer and still sounds great. He’s just not Brad Delp and that’s what people don’t like. I loved Brad Delp’s voice, but I love Michael’s as much or more. I think this is awesome, but it’s a different sound. Michael’s voice doesn’t have the grit Brad’s did. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard the Jay Sekulow band cover this song, but you should. That’s a super group. John Elefante and John Schlitt share vocals on it and it’s pretty awesome! Those are two more of my favorite all time singers.

It's cool watching & listening to Tommy in this early footage. It's clear that he's a huge fan because he's performing true to the studio recording. Matthew Sweet is making the performance his own, inserting himself into the song (not a bad thing, BTW) demonstrating his experience as a musician but again, Tommy's "fresh off the street like the winner of a talent show" energy is an absolute joy to behold. 👍🏻 💪 🇺🇸

I’ve been watching old Boston vids all morning. This singer is so freakin good - but - Brad was my guy . He never got the credit he truly deserved . When you hear talk of “ Best / Favorite “ Singers of All Time , you Never hear the name Brad Delp . If you even say that name , many would be like “ WHO “??!!! Then you just say “ Boston “!! Then they’re all like - “ Oh Yeahhhhhhhh …. Forgot about that guy “. Haha I’m a singer and I have a fairly nice range , but my goodness !! Could never hit those notes !! They might have not had a good live show back in the 70's but this is one BADASS live show. Tom created one of the greatest bands in Rock and Roll history 👌.

There are six members here (Scholtz, DeCarlo, Sweet, Pihl, , Dahme, Neal). Scholtz is the only original member left but Pihl has been around since the Third Stage album.
I am confused. Why two singers? If you listen to Stryper, you know that Michael Sweet can hit very high notes. The other guy is pretty good though. And they harmonize well together. The lead guitarist was really great and the band worked quite well together in this video.
Props to Sweet and the other vocalist (sorry, can't remember his name). And remember the middle guitar solo on the original album and live was done on a Gibson, no whammy, just bending the neck and strings (scarry). No one can match Bradley - simply one of the best vocalists to ever walk the planet!

Brad's not coming back -it's pointless to cry about it. I saw this tour - the show was actually fantastic. Summer night, Styx opened - it was a great show. "Home Depot Guy" did fine. Kim Dahme was literally stunning. To me "Boston" is about Tom Sholz directing his creation- it was never the "5 buddies from College form a band" story like Styx. BTW - all parts were meticulously re-created - the high chorus part was there- Kim sang it. Listen closely - I think it's just buried in this mix.

Indeed! Got to see Stryper in Monroe, LA, when I was 15, in the fall of ‘88. It was an amazing show. Opening act was White Lion.
