This is the bit Gerry Dee does about growing up in an Italian neighborhood and being asked to "gofacoff" everyday. TAKEN FROM GERRY'D DVD "NO READING AHEAD"
It's funny because I have a 70 year old Italian neighbor and he pretty much does EVERYTHING he just talked about....from the vegetable garden to the watering the driveway!!!
I am so happy God made me Italian - I love being Italian/Sicilian and would never want to be amnything else - many fond memories- Italy is one damn beautiful place and I love Italian/Sicilian people ! The best !!! Viva Italia!!! I also love anything Scottish and that would be my second choice !!!!
ohhh my goodness. when he does the italian accent, he sounds EXACTLY like my uncle...all my aunts and uncles and my father are straight off the boat italians XD
MrSteelermania I can vouch for this haha. I’m Sicilian and most guys in my family do this bahah...myself included now. Never thought I’d be them hahah.
Thank you TH-cam algorithm for bringing this back to me. I genuinely think of this bit several times a year yet I can never remember the comedians name. So damn funny
I think Gerry Dee is brilliant - his accent is pretty good too I think. Very funny video, laugh every time I watch it!! I'm of Italian decent and not offended at all. Thanx 4 posting.
this guy isnt a bum, he was in the top 3 of last comic standing, is in multiple tv commercials, is touring canada, and russell peters is a supporter of his, he's hilarious
I am Irish American in NY and this is exactly why Mr Bellisario from Italy was like next door. And what is up with old Italian guys allways hitting on my old Irish ma? She is 70, stop that shit.
Well As a cop who grew up in Yonkers Id rather not discuss organized crime. Ill just say that where I grew up as a kid, you knew who the mob guys were, they pretty much made it clear who they were.
its true your right I guess we as Americans weather we're Irish or Italian or whatever we get it its funny to us. PS good sense of humor watch those old Italian guys they still think they're the s*** lol
Well, they say the Irish mobsters kill a guy just for looking at them funny at the bar, and the Italians only have you killed if you owe too much money. Either way I ant sayin shit.
A lot of people commenting on here that he "does not sound Italian" but there is going to be a different dialect depending on where you are from, Canada, New York, Jersey, Italy, and yes even the land down under Australia, doesnt mean you are not Italian. Capeesh
I live in an old neighborhood near the Hill in Saint Louis, They are very proud of their homes! :) I have a neighbor who waters her sidewalk every day!! I LOVE MY NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!!!!! We are always looking out for each other! Something hard to find in a city
@tasquill I wondered the same thing. They seemed only slightly and politely amused and I was on the floor kmsl the first and tenth time I watched this. I love his deadpan delivery I think it's the Scottish in him.
this is hilarious! half the people commenting shit on here are A: not italian or B: Morons, the italian he is imitating is an immigrant to Canada and since i live in toronto and am half italian i can gaurantee you this is how they speak. Not every italian does the same thing but as a majority they do these things! gerry d is from toronto so i can personally tell you this is true!
@MaremmaSheepdog thank you for recognizing this, no one seems to understand these "italians" are americans of italian decent, completely different than authentic Italians.
He severely underestimates the power of the Italian slipper being thrown by an Italian. Lol.
For real, my grandma has been throwing it at me all her life, she mastered it
Or the wooden spoon lol
Good solid leather, I'll bet 😂
My grandfather moved from Cassino in Italy to Toronto when he was a kid. Legit washed the drive way every Saturday.
Definitely canadian italians. Im from Toronto and this is pretty accurate.
Im italian italian lol, born there but been living in Toronto for a very long time.
@@damonbaird1173 llllllllllllllpl1mo

This never gets old. It’s soooo true and soooo my dad. 😂

You should see the Italian Scots, the Nardinis. They sell ice cream in Largs.
john kennedy Actually no he was born in Canada to Scottish immigrant parents.
I stand corrected
john kennedy Thank you my friend I'am glad that there is no hard feelings.
I watched this on Comedy Central last nite. Thought I would have a heart attack from laughing!! OMG..this guy is so good!!
Well Put! My parents are also Italian and the stereotypes are true. People should be able to see the humor in everything in everyday life.
I showed this to my friend from Napoli and not only did he fall down laughing, he wants to visit Toronto now to meet these Italian neighbours :)
LOVE IT!! this is so true with my Italian neighbors in Canada. thats exactly how they talk and act up here!
Italians don't get offended by comedy about Italians. As don't the Irish. As don't the English. The rest of the world should borrow a page...
vinniedisco7 WHY I'm Damn glad I'm Italian/Irish
Cause it's never really offensive, only good stuff
Yes
I’m Italian-English😂. I just don’t care
He is funny, and not offended, but Italians that I knew did care about non-Italian neighbors. They wanted to be as American as possible.
IM ITALIAN and I love this, your awesome Gerry, your one of my favourites XD
I'm Italian, and that's my Dad to a tee.. I laughed like crazy! (So did my Dad)
i'm italian and this is just awesome
ohhh my goodness. when he does the italian accent, he sounds EXACTLY like my uncle...all my aunts and uncles and my father are straight off the boat italians XD

🇨🇦
Gerry, you're the best Comedian ever! Glad you're a fellow Canadian.
"hey jimmy you wanna gofacoff?"
"I uh I'm not aloud to do that yet."
You water concrete after its been poured so it doesn't dry out too fast.
Lol yes, so it slows doing the curing process. But only a mist works best, do not use an aggressive setting to spray the cement.
My grandpas concrete must have been setting for 35 years..
MrSteelermania I can vouch for this haha. I’m Sicilian and most guys in my family do this bahah...myself included now. Never thought I’d be them hahah.
Yeah but they keep doing it for years Lol
If you grew up in an Italian family or neighborhood, YOU WERE BLESSED!
Thank you TH-cam algorithm for bringing this back to me. I genuinely think of this bit several times a year yet I can never remember the comedians name. So damn funny
