Scripture of Ful being additive for Melee instead of multiplicative for Ranged/Magic is probably intended, albeit stupid. Gloves of passage, Void, dragon battleaxe, and Annihilation spec are also all additive for Melee. The only reason ZGS is a multiplicative boost is because it was literally copy-pasted from Sunshine or Death's Swiftness. Also worth pointing out that every individual hit has its own proc chance, so stuff like Greater Ricochet can really cause a ton of procs like mad. Also, obligatory "gems and barrels are bad for testing".

One thing to mention is that the Book of ful buff do work on AOE abilities, for example, it's a great way of doing the flawless hardmode challenge 1 run on Zuk.
I completely stopped using it cause i always got capped. And it felt weird. Like i know its not capped every time but wen book proc looks better, and ful book i can feel the damage increase with magic
I need to give out this advice: Just because the specific books pages are cheaper and spec does less doesn't mean it's bad. Generally every pocket slot item, that gives you dps buff, is good. If it boosts your dps and overall gameplay - use it. (Just some advice for people getting into PvM; I haven't seen the video yet)
If I remember Luca has explained why zerk does this. It is because its an additive multiplier rather than an multiplicative. Meaning it just adds its % rather than multiplying. Hence it basically just adds 100% damage rather than doubling (120-220 instead of doubling 120-240). Its the "issue" with melee that he covers in his t95 sword video. As melee started with 100% buff instead of 50% it was higher but now there are so many different % buffs for ranged and magic, they can get further than berserk can. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is correct? Love your content Protoxx!
lets not sleep on the fact that the book that cost less than a tenth of the scripture of ful gives over half the dpm increase. huge buff for budget pvmers
It would have helped if you did a barrel not using any book, but doing ur absolute best rotation. So we could compare that against the non book revo++. That way there's more info on the difference between Wen and Ful, cause Wen is just static damage, while Ful scales with your damage. Imagine you do 50% more damage doing an actual rotation, that means the Ful book is always better.
in the barrel test grim gets an unfair shake there btw. grim is better when ur damage is higher since half of the effect is an increase to your crit cap. so testing grim with unaugmented low tier gear doesnt show its full potential
You made this video and book rose up like 300mil this game is getting really dumb i honestly get why people quit this game jagex double the drop rate and book crashed to 200m then one video it’s 500m again I feel bad for newer players trying to learn this game or wanting to invest time into it when the items in this game are out of jagex control merchers rule this game period.
I've definitely felt that the Wen book performed better at melee Raksha, big target and doesn't move much. I also heard that melee has less hits overall and so less chances to proc and even if they were near even, wouldn't take the zerker downside. I think Wen book has less chances to proc too but eh, just kinda how it felt when using
I'm liking the Wen book a lot and I love the pages are cheap enough to use it everywhere. I'll try Ful when it costs way less than 500m. Ultimately we have 4 new books + all the old god books and scrimshaws and the damage difference between any of them is still fairly marginal and situational as to whether you want area damage or damage on a moving target, etc. None of them are like, just plain bad. Grimoire is still amazing and still they haven't really addressed the insane upkeep cost of it. Shame.
The uptime wouldn't change at different rax rotations. For example, if you take the darkness path and get zero procs, this doesn't decrease your uptime as you are not fighting anything. Cheers for the info otherwise. SHINESHINE :P that's what I'll be calling sun now lol
The value you get from Wen vs minions at Arch Glacor is insane. It isn't fair to compare an area damage item to a straight buff item. Also, what about the additional 10% damage that you take, over the course of a whole Zuk run that will really add up. I don't think one is better than the other. Both great in their own niche, as is the Bik book for that matter.
It sounds like the books effect was calculated alongside the berserk skill, and might have been a direct copy of it. What I mean is, the function that calculates the Berserk bonus (+100% melee damage, +50% damage taken) was modified to include the Scripture of Ful's (+20% damage, +10% damage taken)-this means the function would returns +120%. With that said, I don't think it's coded that way. If you ever tried to calculate experience gained with countless bonuses (premier token, pulse buff, pulse core, outfit, wisdom aura, etc), you'll notice some interact with each others and others don't. Considering the EXP modifiers formula and imagining the difference in the melee, ranged, and magic damage formulas, and keeping in mind that melee had berserk, it makes sense for them to either (1) make this mistake or (2) this was how it was meant to work.

Wouldn't say *all* situations. Range gets a lot out of the increased crit cap with Ruby bakrims (and EOF SGB procs of these). Mage gets the most mileage out of the book by *far* between smoke bomb, channeler's ring, greater conc blast, and FSOA (I suspect they should probably unnerf smoke bomb for the other styles now). Melee just doesn't really hit or crit as often or as hard as the other two unfortunately. Assault + destroy are solid, but you typically don't even use them outside of zerk due to adrenaline limitations. (You might use them during zgs, but even that will depend on whether or not you can walk & bleed your target or need to use bleeds for the severely increased soul split heals.) I suspect that if they *do* ever solve melee's adrenaline problems, dragon battleaxe will just become a standard part of melee rotations rather than combining ZGS and TMW, although the dbaxe obviously has better synergy with ZGS. Ful book probably should have given 5 bonus adrenaline on melee crit or somesuch. (And maybe like 6% bonus crit chance.) It's quite the boring design by comparison. Especially when they put so much effort into Jas and nobody's using it. 😅
I have over 1500 glacor kc with over 1k being hard mode and no wen book drop yet. I know the boss is 'easy' but random luck plays a part. Also wen book is good, really good for slayer.
I called it before they released it that this would be the best god book and best pocket slot in the game other than grim. 20% damage boost for 15 second is insane

@@ProtoxxGaming the avg proc cd is 25s, with 15s proc you get 60% avg uptime, 20*0.6 gives you 12% avg increase, all of this info along with the avg gain from other books has been available on Pvme from week of release, most of the initial testing was even done by myself. hitting a dwarven challenge barrel with a revo bar and unaugmented gear for 5 minutes isn't gonna give you any kind of reliable numbers.

I run hm zuk with ful scripture, if you know positioning and when to use defensives you take nearly no damage so 10% does not really show

Even if 100% uptime the dpm wouldn't be 20% higher because you'd be hit capping some abilites alot more and it's wasted damage
