I agree, I just did not like the design of the cyberskeleton. I wish it made D look more like Adam Smasher.
I’m not gonna lie, the last episodes dropped the show from an 8.5 to 7.5 for me. I don’t mind tragic fates for characters, hell I even enjoy them because of how realistic they are, but I feel like they could have done David and Co. much better in terms of writing.
@@TK-ro7hn I mean, they had a strict 10 episode limit with Netflix. There is now talks of season 2, but the directors had to shove all these character's ending in the last few episodes.

Fun fact: the Cyberpunk universe has a class of cybernetics named “bioware”. One of the most common bioware used is “grafted muscle”, where they vat-grow muscles and surgically implant them. So it is actually INCREDIBLY easy to get swole af if you have the money.
it's also less dangerous and intrusive than the typical Cyberware.
@@SolidSnake240 Yeah, because they function the same way as normal muscles, the only main difference is that they are synthetic. They take the same electrical impulse control from the brain as normal muscle fibers, no unnecessary higher brain function load.

When Lucy was hacking Tanaka she saw they had a whole ass file on her boy. Like they showed in the earlier episodes Arasaka Industries wants to use David as a guinea pig to test "the product" and has been hunting for him but he shot down their attempt to get him back into the school. Lucy nuked everything Tanaka had and has been trying to cover David from them this whole time. It's why she's not doing jobs with him. She's busy. While he was hugging her she caught another dude putting together everything she tried to erase and had to go tie up another loose end.

@@Zections If you go back to just before she hacks Tanaka she had her panic attack. It was only a few flashes but they showed some images we only now got to see when she explained her past. She was terrified of Arasaka and losing it when they asked her to deep dive into Tanaka. Now she's more afraid of them going after David than she is for herself.

To put Lucys danger in perspective, if they find and fry a netrunners nervous system/brain when diving, it can feel like 100,000 hot knives are being stabbed into you simultaneously, some characters in game view this as a absolute horrible way to go

Yeah, it’s why being a netrunner is so dangerous. People who aren’t too familiar with cyberpunk settings might see netrunners as being sort of lame in comparison to the guys who are out in the field doing the shooting and punching, but a netrunner is constantly putting themselves at risk of dying the most miserably painful death a person can experience. They’re brave as hell and you have to be a real badass to put yourself at risk like that.
Despite being rejected by David Rebecca doesn’t let it get to her and still remains loyal and still be a good sport about it.

I like that detail if Kiwi or others are plugged in and talking on comms, their speech is slowed, slurred and repeating. It's like they're talking straight from their brain, like talking in a dream

The attention to detail in the animation is amazing. When they show the “real time” look at David fighting the big hulking dude, if you watch it in slow motion it actually has all the key parts from when they showed us the sandy slow down, including him shooting the guy while upside down.
I can’t believe y’all recommended this show without telling me I would get emotionally invested just for it to end in 10 episodes with no continuation 😢
We'll get more eventually, I think next year. CDPR has tons of stuff promised for this universe in the coming years. and with the probably unexpected success of this show (still top on trending anime for Netflix), they're going to greenlight more stuff. Might not be another season, but we'll get more content for sure. If you want more, play the game, it's amazing.
When you watch stuff like this and Akame ga Kill, our brains will just create a bunch of multiverses for said anime with nothing but good ending. Or endings we can mentally deal with, because we can't handle the mental strain of having the loss of a major if not our favorite character...even if it's the main character.
