Well done, I take my hat off to you. Like you, I have a passion for my 1974 911 2.7 Carrera, and have owned it for 40 years during which time I have restored it as I when I could afford the work to be done. Your car looks and sounds amazing.
Loved this. Bought a Tangerine 2.4S in 1991 and still have it. Have not owned it all the time but got it back a few years ago. They are fantastic cars and repay you for looking after them I’m completely obsessed with mine!
at age 26 I bought a 1970 Porsche 911T coupe, in Irish green, black interior, four speed, S gages and appearance package, and stereo am fm in 1971. Had it 14 years, and sold it for 8700, after buying it for 6500...rebuilt the engine for 4400, in 1981...today in same shap it is worth 55K....you want a porsche and are not wealthy, get a 356, or early 911, and an "S" if you can....that car was my ticket to my first house, and seven More, because it was appreacating, which came as the first down payment on the second one.....Viva porsche!
Well you surely made this a very tidy Porsche. Most people would have grown unmotivated. I missed a 1981 3.0 911 for 8k about 15 years ago. I just felt it needed mechanical work above my affordability. I sensed the head studs were weak if not already cracked. Once into this much of the engine, one might be stuck paying thousands for a proper sorting. I kind of kick myself for not getting it . Shortly afterward I bought a 944 for 5k. I wound up putting a good amount of time and money into this car. Of course a 944 is not a real Porsche in the world's eyes. I could see why, I felt I needed to open the driver's door and help scooter it along...LOL This car to me always felt so underpowered and it was almost a waste having such good suspension, handling, and braking along with such little torque at the lower RPMs.
She’s beautiful!
