Some people call Yuri a parody but really she's a genius copycat fighter was initially held down by a sexist father and brother. Yuri not only developed her own style from a year of basic training in her family's dojo, she has picked up various moves from seeing other fighters and incorporating it into her own fighting. She isn't treated as a joke like Dan or a fangirl like Sakura but someone who's a full partner to her various KoF teams.
In Kof timeline. In Aof 3 she goes to Italy with Robert. Plus in Aof 2 she teases Robert about Honeymoons (like Mai does to Andy in Kof). So they are a couple in the AOF/FF timeline.
