Ah sad times about your computer! At least you can still play on the Mac! Just a word of caution, my Mac struggled with a lot of mods and CC as they aren’t really geared up for games. Glad it helped you set it up though 💚
as simple as this is, script mods still don’t show up for me. there’s no pop up to say they’ve been downloaded. regular package cc works fine tho. any fix??

@@TheSimGeek No problem at all buti. hvae a question .I did everything ya said to do but for some reason not all the mods i donwnloaded are showing up. For example most of the mods i have consist of clothes but most of them are MIA while the rest are like a handful are showing up. At first i thought it was because of the folders and that there was too many so i moved a lot of mods to just one folder but still nothing. So i just dumped all of them into the packages folders (now that's a mess lol) and still nothing changed, Just the same handful of clothes and other things. Is there something wrong with my sims game?
Are the downloads .package files or .Sims3files? If they are Sims3files they need to go in your The Sims > Downloads folder and installed through the launcher. Any packages should be put in the mods folder.
@@TheSimGeek honestly im not sure cus my mac doesnt really show the differences. They all come as extractable things for me and then it's just blank .(insertname) folders but that could be the problem so im gonna check it out. thank you for the help! :) update: yep that was the case. lol i wasnt looking at them proberly! TYSM! I'm too use to windows showing the proper pictures for the different files (my mac just shows blank paper looking files.) have a beautiful day!

If not, right click the link or download button and copy the link address, make a new tab and paste it in there. It should just download from there. Once the zip file is downloaded, just double click on it, winrar should open automatically and unzip the file for you 💚
So how do I load in custom content without overloading my computer? (mac) Can I just save it to an external drive and still be able to use it? if so how do I do that?

I was just wondering if that would work or do i need to redownload all of them again?
I’ve got all packages in the launcher even detects them and says they are downloaded. I load up into the game and it only comes with the shop updates? But none of my custom content even thought it has clearly detected it.

I downloaded the first zip file and got the mods file.... but when I download a mod it doesn't automatically show up in the mods file, am I doing something wrong?
I'm trying to get the master controller mod and the other mods that you've mentioned but the site keeps timing out and it looks like the patch number doesn't match what I have
If they are Sims3packs, put them in Documents > The Sims 3 > Downloads, then they'll show in the launcher and you can install from there. Package files go where the Mods go. Hope that helps. Shout if you need more help! 💚
Sorry for the very slow reply! The game shouldn’t crash with NRAAS mods - especially as a lot of them are designed to prevent crashing. Do you clear out your cache/junk files? I do it every time I play. I have a video on which files are safe to delete 💚
Idk why my mods don’t work. Yes , I have the framework and my mods folder has everything correct. My CC works just fine. I’ve cleared the cache. I’ve got the skip intro mod and it doesn’t skip the intro. I’ve got a banking mod for sims 3, doesn’t give me access at the computer so it doesn’t work. I’ve also got a kitchen set cc installed and it’s downloaded to my game. It shows up in the downloads on the sims 3 page but doesn’t show up in game. I gotta say sims 3 mods are a bit more complicated than sims 4 but the game itself is 100% more fun but I am little frustrated with the mods not working 😅
@@HeavenlyAmil You’re welcome. I worked on it for a week. I exhausted all of the ‘fixes’ that TH-cam and google has told me to try. I don’t know if it’s where I am playing on just a base game disc that my brother gave me. I thought about getting it on steam to see if anything changes.

I only have the base game plus high end stuff installed. no other expansion packs.yet. and i only have sunset valley. All those gorgeous mods, i i decided to download that Malibu night club, traffic mode, career mod (because i thought expanding the job options little bit), sweet lobotomy spa… none of these work. at least i dont see them appearing. the havecoffe mod works, strawberrypie works, woohooer works, the noCd doesnt work either, i still need the freakin cd. is it because i dont have expansion packs or? if its that, i thought the mods can work despite expansion packs, at least some of them that i really thought it would be a nice addition to SValley, can anybody advise what to do
When I try to download the readymade framework from mod the sims it says, " Mods.zip can't be downloaded securely" do you know what this means and how I can stop it?
Zip files are condensed files, which need to be 'unzipped' to view and use. Most computers have a zip file extractor already. If yours doesn't you can download one. You'll soon know when you double click on a .zip file and nothing happens 😂 Hope that helps 💚
Hi, I need help. I downloaded the framework. I thought I did it correctly. It had the 3 files and the package file had the nointro/nobuildsparkles, but when I tried to launch the game, I got an error message, and the game wouldn't launch. I ended up having to completely uninstall the whole game. I'm not sure what I did wrong, and now I'm afraid to try it again.
Unfortunately this video is completely useless if you are running on the new EA app for Mac. .bat files will NOT work. They also have no plan of making one for the Mac either.
i’ve deleted all my sims 3 cc months ago and i’ve been trying to get it back i’ve followed all the steps but the skipping into mod isn’t working on my game😫 it’s stressing me out so much i’ve been trying to install cc for 4 hours now :(
Not sure what you mean.. when you download the zip file you’ll need a zip extractor program. You can get these for free with a quick google. I think mine is literally called ‘zip extractor’!

Oh how strange 🤔 I would suggest trying a different browser. If it helps I use Google Chrome.

You don't need to open the cfg file on mac or pc, it just needs to be there :)

There’s several options; via the discs, via Origin or a downloaded version. I personally play via the discs
