Okay pyros, what do you think about cakes that are definitely not as full of comp as advertised? Can a decent price make them worth your while just the same?
That's a great cake for $30. Certainly seems worth it. Also, great roaring dragon at the end! I always love the little cookies you put at the end of your demos 👍😃
@ yea happy family is amazing top notch !! I got 5 of there cakes ready 2 demo and a new one from discount fireworks WI I got few goodies.. but yea love happy family there awesome
@ryannewyspyrotechnics2421 Awesome! I can't wait to see them. I've been meaning to ask you about your discount fireworks order. I'll dm you on Instagram about it later.
That is good for 30 bucks and yeah it’s probably closer to a 350 gram cake but still a good price. I would probably steer clear of a cake like this only because 7 shots is a little low for me. I did pick up 2 cases of 8 shot 500 gram cakes this year but they are legit 2 inch bores. Great demo pyro.
I was thinking you might not like the shot count on this one, as well as the kind of slow pace. For the (retail) price, the breaks were quite large and the lace was very good. I think that was the saving grace for me.
Oh man, Ghost Shells have been on my hit list for a while. It'd be really fun to shoot them side by side with this cake. At the moment, both will require a trip out of Vermont. But I do have plans to try to get to NH next month...
@@NWIPYRO I shot a couple of 350s from Great American that night too and Silver Dragon definitely broke bigger. So yeah, it was a fair price for the lower shot count.
Fair retail value for the cake. Well executed effects and color palette. The first break burst symmetry seemed a little wonky, and the finale left me wanting because the second burst seemed to get "destroyed" by the first burst of the 2. A better design for the finale would probably be to angle the final two shot/bursts slightly left and right (with the obligatory "face this side toward audience" labeling on the cake).
@@dennisblazey3315 Great idea for the angles. I've heard that it increases the cost to add angles to a cake, wondering if that came up during the design process. I just watched a promo video from the Riakeo line from HF in which the higher costs are discussed at length. It was very fascinating.
@@VermontPyroBoys802 I have heard that also - but I have never heard it explained other than "more labor". That sort of rings hollow with me considering the HUGE amount of manual labor already present in fireworks manufacturing. I cannot see how it would be a material effort increase. Even more so with this cake given the already ample (and unused) interior space created by the cylindrical frame and the placing of the tubes in it.
I sent up two 350s from TGAFCs Founders Series the same night as this and they were pretty similar. The breaks on Silver Dragon were definitely bigger but both of the 350s had higher shot counts too.

Yes the comp on fireworks I feel are mostly suggested or up to that amount never really accurate this really pertains to cakes
I definitely agree. Perhaps the system of categorizing fireworks by powder weight isn't a great way to divide them up 🤔@@PyroFunkk
Really nice cake great colors thanks pyros
Awesome cake loved the red plum 👍🔥🎂
It was a really strong lace. Great colors on the breaks too. Definitely a good cake for the money.
nice size on the breaks and nice colors and great lace effect
It was really a good cake! That was some of the strongest lace I've seen in a consumer cake.
Enjoyed 😀 Nice cake 🎆
Thanks, glad you liked it. I really like Happy Family. They're a great brand when you can find them.

Glad you liked it and glad you enjoyed the dragon too! I love finding those little animations to put at the end of my videos.
Beautiful colors I love that red lace and yeah, for 30 bucks that son is about right great demo great video man love it🤟💯✌️
I really like Happy Family. I'd probably buy any 7 shot "500g" cakes they put out provided the price is good.

$30 seems like a fair value. Thanks for the demo!

Glad you liked it. Happy Family is very consistent with their colors. Definitely a solid brand.👍
I love dual color changing effects! Kinda reminds me of ghost shells... and I'd buy that for $30 😎👍

That seemed more like a 350gm cake. Either way it was nice. For $30 I’d say yup!
