yep. plenty of people use wheelchairs only on some days because of fluctuating pain levels, some people use them most of the time but can still walk short distances, or retain other use of their legs. it's more complex than a lot of people realize lol

The average person's concept of disability is incredibly myopic when in reality it's a very complex issue. People who don't have chronic pain or a disability will never really understand it fully, and as a result they let their lack of understanding inform their prejudice on the matter. I can't really enjoy live music or anything that requires standing or walking for long periods anymore, and I'm only 30. A wheelchair would allow me to enjoy these things again, but I'm posed with the dilemma of either feigning paraplegia, (which I won't do,) or having people judge me openly or silently. It makes self isolation and missing out on events the easy choice, which is pretty fucking depressing.
@@WafflesForOne hey, same here. concerts suck, going to work sucks if i can't sit behind the counter, but wheelchairs are expensive, and i just feel like somehow i don't deserve to use one, like i should be able to do these things like a healthy person would. im turning 21 in a few months. most days are alright, honestly, i think my bad days really color my perception of my overall condition, but it's probably not a good sign that I so frequently consider getting some kind of mobility aid, lol. best wishes

Something I like about Kengan Ashura is that it feels like it was made to be animated. I feel like there are a lot of anime that are faithful to the comic to a fault, at which point the pacing feels weird because the tricks you can use in the page layout of a comic to control the pacing don't carry over to animation. Kengan Ashura just feels like it was made from the ground up to be animated and to look good in motion.

The thing about Record of Ragnarok, and the reason I kind of love it (the manga anyway), is that it's the kind of story you have to meet where it's at. And the place it's at is "What if a bunch of dripped-out hot guys tried to kill each other? Also, The Buddha is a sexy rebel". My only real complaint is that it falls into the action genre trap of the climax being two guys punching each other Very Hard... more or less every time. But also I'm a Wretched Anime Boy connoisseur and Beelzebub is there so I forgive it everything lol
I think in the fiction, Olivia is in the chair because of a neurological condition, rather than an injury based paralysis. She probably still has some movement and feeling in her legs, but not enough to hold her weight and walk around

I AM HERE FOR THIS KENGAN ASHURA APPRECIATION. You can tell the anime has a vision and wants to make impact, but obviously there are some budgetary constraints limiting what's REALLY possible. With that said, season 1 was so hype for me it led me to the source material. The Kengan Ashura and Omega mangas are among my favorite, even if at many times it completely goes off the rail and makes shit hit the fan. It's just enjoyable despite its flaws IMO.

Ive been consuming absolutely everything jonh has on his fear and hunger playtrhu and the edits were kinda awkward on some places, the dream skipped over dead characters so we didnt know which ones are dead, in battles it skipped over important limb cuts or first use on some skills
