Seriously this drama is amazing writen, direct. and all. The casts are fxxking amazing too. Even the OST and BGM. This drama just keep pulling me in hard episode by episode. Though the ending could be a sad one, I still couldn't let go this drama. It just so freaking *AMAZING*
OMG finally Yeosangun can't hold it anymore.... and this is probably the first time he ever fall in love with a woman.... her presences has brought him peace and happiness he can't hardly have.... I can't blame him for loving her..... they share awesome moments together.
Does anyone notice that it is actually, and would probably too in this drama, the Prince's supporters that kills CG family and the Prince's final decision to have her dethroned, or even hanged as implied in the trailers and ep1. FYI in the trailer there is this scene when Yoek shockingly opens up an approved order and ,afterwards, rushing down to huge CG, who says some vengefull words to him. I think in this drama, Yeok carelessly or unintendedly approved the demise of CG or her family. So in the long run, the one who put CG to the most suffers is the Prince himself. But the King has his dark sides tho. This is hard as hell to choose

I'm sorry, but honestly, I can't see what's so good about the King. He's paranoid, cruel and insecure. I know he has his reasons for being that way (with the late King treating him that way and his mother dethroned) but that does not excuse the sufferings he had caused his own brother. He should've sensed that the prince and chae gyung cared for each other since they were teens, but instead of letting her go, he is choosing to be selfish and claim Chae Gyung like what he did with the throne.
Lee Yeong or King Yeosangun has every right in the world to be Joseon's 10th ruler because he was the Crown Prince and the first son of his father.... and any King would want to protect their throne.. too bad his half brother (Jin Seong) rebeled and exiled him to Tamra (jeju) he died 2 weeks after at age 29.
though history says that he is one of the worst tyrants (he launched purges and made thousands of women palace entertainers). However, he seemed more human in the drama, with it showing how he only wanted love and acceptance from the people he considered family. Too bad he couldn't appreciate the love and affection his brother had for him because of that stupid secret document that almost caused Yeok his life. I do hope that there'll be a different ending (a happier one) for him in the drama.
