  • Today we build a new rock crawler. This one is based off the Werock buggies from the west coast. This idea came from Jay at SOR Graphics. This is a fun build and should be easy to do for just about anyone. Links to purchase pretty much everything down below.

    looks exactly like the injora. Ive made 2 of them. They are really sweet chasis/ buggies, especially using portals, they are super stable and capable

    Cool looking build Cody! Having your upper/lower frame links so close together induces more axle rotation, one more thing for your suspension to overcome. It will certainly do better on the rocks, where it's just endless lines of varying difficulty. Happy crawling from SoCal(Corona Del Mar).

      Yep. Its for sure going to be changed soon. High clearance on the lowers and moving the uppers to where they are supposed to go.

    Cool unique build. I like that it’s all factory parts. I compete in WE Rock and Supercrawl. I am a spotter for a pro unlimited driver this year. I’ve got a video or two about them. Cool rig man!

      Oh sweet. Thats awesome. I will check that out. I grew up rock crawling with my dad in Land Rovers. Was always a blast.

      Old video and response but maybe the WDW needs to make their version of this buggy?

    Great video and nice buggy! May I suggest that you lay your shocks down some more. When the axles move more freely up and down it will tend to move over rocks a bit better. Just a suggestion it looks great.

    you can get the same cage from injora, only difference is the battery tray, i also put a fusion in mine

      Oh nice. Had no clue they had anything like that. The gmade one comes with a tray. I just made my own to get it a bit lower.

      I do recall seeing a few roll cage frames from Injora of different styles... got me thinkin

    Thanks for the vid! considering building an RC moon buggy. I sponsor a team at WeRock and one big component that seems to be missing is portal axels. That should give you more clearance. Maybe slightly larger tires and a skid as well. Also most top competitors run water in their tires so more weight in the tires is better - though I am not sure if that translates to an RC

    Hi did the frunt axle on the back go in the right direction as the frunt or did u have to change anything m8

      No. It will just work. The programming in the radio will take care of the rest

    whats the point of such a low COG if it cant get over anything? lol

      It needed way more tuning.

      First tuning i would do is to raise the chassis abit to clear the rocks .

    Not so much of a crawler with all the hang ups on the belly, maybe longer shocks with droop springs so it will reach the terrain... Could be a better bouncer

    • @DixielandRC
      @DixielandRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah. A decent flat skid would help as well. I have ideas. Just havent had time to make it happen

    Turtled at 16:54. One other thing, do you have foam in the tires? I would take them out and try again if you do.

    Hi there, I just saw your video and you might have the answer to my question. I finished my crawler a few days ago and I tried unsuccesfully to set up the rear axel steering. My transmitter is a FUTABA T3PV and the ESC is a QUICRUN 1060. Can you help me please? Thanks

    • @DixielandRC
      @DixielandRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rear steer is controlled by the remote. Esc wont matter. If the radio doesnt have rear steer control it wont work.
