I have written in three Dover elevators the first one was in Batavia New York the next one was in an old store in my town in New York state the last one was in Canton New York I saw it yesterday it had giant buttons and a normal Dover buzzer I love those buzzers.
The elevator sounds like it's becoming a death trap. I don't remember it making all that noise during its travel. Good to see you NOT get stuck this time! :)
I never went to that building in Cowesett, Rhode Island the building is the outlet building so how it is 8 floors (1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor, 4th floor, 5th floor, 6th floor, 7th floor, and 8th floor) it has 2 elevators unfortunately the 8th floor is a restricted floor for the elevators and has stairs, so the 8th floor has the security platform these elevators were installed way back to 1985.
I'm almost 99.9% sure that the elevator acts up due to the way it is treated. Since it's a parking deck elevator, no one is going to maintain it, the best it's going to get is inspected. Judging the way the indicator looked, I would say people fool around in this elevator, like jumping, vandalizing and whatever else they felt like doing. I hope someone didn't try to stop the elevator for something bad... That piston was cool though, you got to admit, and HIGHdraulics aren't that bad.
i found this out with dovers if you hold the outer door it will stop but the inner door closes i do that alot to fool the teachers that the elevator was broken but then i say bye and i slam the door and the elevator goes! LOL
