I wanted to calculate how far Neuro was rolling in this video.
The short answer is that she rolled about 1 km (0̶.̶6̶ ⅝ of a mile) from a 700 m (2300 ft) high mountain.
Calculations.
Neuro fell from 0:11 to 3:07. That's 176 seconds.
We can roughly find the speed of the fall from the speed of a rolling she makes - 21 revolutions per 8 seconds, 2.6 revolutions per second.
Each revolution is a circle with a circle length equal to ~3/2 of Neuro's height.
Neuro is 145 cm tall, so one revolution is ~220 cm.
In 176 seconds, she would have completed 460 revolutions - that's ~1000 meters = 1 km (0.6 miles).
Now let's find the height from which she rolled.
She rolled at a 45° angle. That means the height is equal to the distance found earlier * sin(45°).
1*0.7 = 700 m (2300 feet).
