I’ve snorted Percs wit griffin way way back when .. haha dude was an absolute blast to have around he was the most liked in our group of friends during that time.. he’s to this day one of the most complete kindest souls I’ve been around I’ve yet to meet another like him so far.. wherever u are forrest hope ur still brightening up everyone’s life … forrest is the typical addict self destructive self hating but bewilderingly likable and lovable how can they hate themselves? It’s what’s going on inside our own heads I feel for you forrest I really hope you are happy wherever you are!
I personally want to see Forrest return and he seems like a cool guy and just like anyone who losses a fight hes going to need alot of time to recover. It sucks to lose that bad infront of family and friends like that..
I am a BIG Forrest fan. Puts into perspective how much stress Forrest is under. Fighting Anderson is stressful enough but all the expectations and hopes of the public just makes it 10 times worse. Looking forward to the next fight.
Lol mr 8 years old comment, no, silva embarrassed him. He was just on another level. Forrest is a legend in his own right and rightfully became LHW champion but silva outclassed him
Actually, he's probably the most mentally stable and honest people in MMA. Other's will lie to themselves after a loss and talk themselves up or make excuses for himself... which is actually a fatal trait we have as humans. Forrest on the other hand, knows he lost to someone better than him and just realizes that others are just better than him, just like anyone else in their trade could say for themselves. There's always someone better and he knows it and life goes on.
this interview is the first sign of a serious problem. He is not dealing well with losing. Everyone loses but he's letting the pressure get to him. When you pretend you don't care, it means you care way too much.
strings-You know what Rich did? He congratulate it Anderson Silva, and he even went to train with Anderson Silva. Anderson even helped him trained for his fight with Wanderlei and called him a good dude. Wanted to help him more. That shows what kind of dude Rich is. Going and wanting to train with the guy that beat you. And Anderson too, helping train him after he beats him.
You people seem to forget that he is still the guy who submitted Shogun, the guy who picked apart Rampage, and had arguably the most influential fight in the UFC winning the first ever Ultimate Fighter against Stephan Bonnar. This isn't the same guy in the video, but he'll be back. Give him a chance.
i always used to compare the UFC fighters with WWE wrestlers Chuck Liddell - Stone Cold Steve Austin (They both revolutionized the business) Tito Ortiz - The Rock (very popular but turned his back on the company...might have to change that to Rampage now) Matt Hughes - Triple H (always been the man to beat in the Wealterweight division) Forest Griffin - Shawn Michaels (puts on a great match all the time) this reminds me of when shawn michaels started turning a bit evil backstage
Forrest is a good fighter. He's not great in the technical sense, but he does put up good shows for the fans. He comes up and bangs every time. I wish he would show a little bit of respect in defeat though. To win is awesome, but it's how you handle yourself in a loss that shows your true character. Running away from defeat is just lame, even when it's an epic beatdown like the one Anderson gave him. EPIC.
I love Forest too, but fighting is a job at the end of the day. Training, cutting weight, and fighting are only one half of that job. Promoting the fight and doing press conferences and interviews is the other half. It was a bad loss, but it was a bad loss to the number 1 pound for pound fighter ever. Stick around, shake his hand, say "he's an amazing fighter and he caught me tonight, thanks guys, bye", then go and have your cry. Easy to say from sat on my sofa at home, I know, but it kinda sucked and I felt like he didn't take the loss with the best sportsmanship. Again, absolutely love the guy as a fighter, and a cool chill dude I would love to have a beer with. My opinion is unaltered. Just one of those moments which happen in life I guess.
in my opinion he's one of the best 1-tim sylvia 2-john cena 3-josh barnett 4-forrest griffin 5-matt hughes 6-kimbo slice 7-alessio sakara 8-demian maia 9-tank abott 10-mark coleman
He's done. Just listening to him now, his entire perspective and demeanor has changed. I don't think we'll ever see the heart and courage displayed through the Evans fight again. He's very bitter and doesn't sound like he wants to rededicate himself anytime soon. The faux responsibility he felt coming from UFC fans has clouded what a great fighter he is/was. That's really unfortunate.
"loods" are Qualudes..its a sedative drug called "Methaqualone" that is similar in effect to barbiturates, a general CNS depressant. It was used in the 1960s and 1970s as a hypnotic, for the treatment of insomnia, and as a sedative and muscle relaxant. It has also been used illegally as a recreational drug
I fail to understand why crying is such a big deal? He's a fucking professional fighter. he doesn't cry from the pain, but from the enormous amount of pressure he placed on himself. Because he's not the best, but he trains himself as hard as he can, pushes his limits, and really puts his heart into it. And he lost. He's lost before. It gets him emotional. Good. Means he isn't just a robot out there. He's a man that really does put his everything into it, and gets emotional when he loses
There is no shame loosing to maybe the # 1 MMA fighter in the world ....I respect forrest for fighting him to begin with . He didnt seem at his best for sure but ...who is always at their best ??
No homo i love this guy, his sense of humor, his sense of drugs( he dont need to hide it we all see he geek'd up) and his craziness he my favorite UFC fighter no doubt.
Forrest is a good guy I hope he comes back better than ever. It has to be a weird time for him to have a horrible embarrassing loss but to also hit a high note by getting married.
The fact that huntman125 named pretty much everyone in the UFC middleweight division says something. MMA record mathematics never works out. Of all the beltholders, Silva has fought the most and held on to it forever. If you can call Silva overrated, you can make a case for Penn, GSP, and easily Lesnar. LHW is too nuts and that belt gets hot potatoed like crazy.
Yeah, very. He did not even acknowledge Silva's win in this interview. He did not even give Anderson Silva any props and just made stupid comment about being on qualudes. Even Rich franklin gave anderson respect or even when Vitor belfort beat him, franklin showed class. Im glad fans cheered anderson silva at end of that fight because that dude has earned respect with his wins. Forrest is lucky anderson even helped him up and gave him a chance during that epic win.
Forrest is still a great fighter and as a fan i still want to see him fight. I dont give a fuck about press or if he does a great interview or if he is funny.. I like forrest because he puts on entertaining fights. So he lost a fight.... all fighters lose fights... ...hope to see you soon Forrest.
Griffin still is struggling with his loss, hes in a business when a loss is just 1 punch/kick/elbow/submission away. Griffin seems like a great guy it sad to see him like this, but he'll be back, he'll be better.
Damn! Silva's punch completely changed this dudes mind about fighting "There's nothing to say, its not about talking, i thought it was a fighting sport" WTFFFF??
Forrest Griffin is King. He does seem a lot different after Silvia knocked him out. He seems spacey and unfocused. I am looking forward to his return tho.
Forest just went through a jetwash and now his teammate Goose has died. He has a confidence problem. But they have to keep putting him up so he can get the edge back or the Soviets win.
you know, as much of jokster as he is i genuinely believe him when he said the thing about not liking himself and confused when other peple do...i think tat loss to silva was what you call a soul stealer, which sux becuz i genuinely believe he's a good man
anytime anyone acts or talks differently then what is socially accepted people don't like it. It's the most basic form of anarchy. Kudos to Forrest for not giving a fuck.
In ways you can see where Forrest is coming from, the Silvia vs Griffin fight was hyped up to the hilt, there was alot of pressure and I think that, the pressure got to much for Forrest and he crumbled on Fight Night. He certainly doesn't seem himself here. Seriously tho, who would hang around to talk about why they just got knocked out, it makes no sense.
Yeah... But, you don't have to compare Forrest, or anyone to that matter, to Rich about having class. It's just good sportsmanship to congratulate a fighter on defeating you...
Seriously though... I understand the embarrassment and I don't blame him. But the least he could do is say... 'hey, Anderson is just that good of a fighter and I got completely demolished.' I'd respect him that much more if he just said that instead of like in this interview, dodge all these questions by saying he was on ludes. Admit that Anderson is a great fighter and people (at least the mature mma fans) will respect you and continue to root for you.
Xturd-no offense mate but that was just a dumb rumor some of his fans were spreading to make him look better. His own corner said he was fine after the fight except for emotionally. Dint u see him run past the doctor coming into the cage. He ran bc he saw a fighting god call Anderson Silva. He ran bc he received an epic beat down. Everyone knows that Forrest was fine physically after that fight. Silva just took his heart like in rocky 2. Maybe he will get it back.
Umm... No, but I have heard of somebody who doesn't care about someone's reply to a comment on the internet for stating his opinion on a situation whenever he has the chance to speak his mind on a subject.
I didn't like forest before seeing this interview but now I really appreciate his personality! Funny dude!!! "Imma jump over the cage and run out" "people puttin alot of hopes and dreams on ya, get Tom Brady on your wall not me" HA HA HA!!!
What the fuck, man. I was at UFC 101, and you really can't understand how freakishly good Anderson Silva is until you see him live. I don't think there is any fighter in the world that could beat him. Maybe Fedor, and that's only because he has 50 pounds on him. And that's maybe.
Funny, interesting, and awkward interview. I liked it. Btw, anyone calling him a douche is the real douche. It's like you expect some incredible insight when a fighter loses and discusses it afterwards. Glad Forrest isn't appeasing the moronic expectations (non) fans tend to have.
wow people are stupid, saying forrest sucks and what not, if ur a former world champion, first of all if ur in the UFC u don't suck its like winning a medal in the olympics the gold medalist is good, that silver medalist is amazing the bronze medalist is one of the best in the world so please dont say people suck when they are some of the best at what they do
You ppl always talk down on Forrest It's not like he talks trash He said he thought Anderson was going to win He also said that he's not the best of most decent fighter but when he fights he gives it his all I bet you one thing you can't beat him The guy is funny and honest Stop talking bad about him And another thing stop making up excuses for Rua Forrest caught him get over it
forrest has self confidence issues im not an armchair psychologist, its just that i definitely see bits of myself in him. the funny guy front is an act, he seems very introverted.
Looks like he hasn't gotten over that loss. The interviewer was being pretty fair, IMO. I mean, everyone wants to know what his thoughts are on the loss. I guess he isn't ready to talk about it yet. He may never be.
i feel bad for the guy. in MMA anything... i mean anything can happen. and thats a perfect example. needless to say silva is one of the best fighters in UFC, griffin took an embaressing loss and hell i would have run out of the arena and talked down on myself in the post fight interview.
Now THAT has got to be the most honest interview I have ever seen.
Forrest is the man. That's the kind of dude I'd love to hang out with. I can't wait for his next fight.
Give Forrest a talkshow!
I’ve snorted Percs wit griffin way way back when .. haha dude was an absolute blast to have around he was the most liked in our group of friends during that time.. he’s to this day one of the most complete kindest souls I’ve been around I’ve yet to meet another like him so far.. wherever u are forrest hope ur still brightening up everyone’s life … forrest is the typical addict self destructive self hating but bewilderingly likable and lovable how can they hate themselves? i love this guy, even after a loss he's just funny as hell. the kinda guy id buy a beer.
I am a BIG Forrest fan. Puts into perspective how much stress Forrest is under. Fighting Anderson is stressful enough but all the expectations and hopes of the public just makes it 10 times worse. Looking forward to the next fight.
good to know the new pops up when he opens internet hahaha legend
Griffin IS the most down to earth guy in the UFC period
When he says "I genuinely don't like myself", it really reminded me of Tyson's interviews.
He does a good with it all. I seen him at the Olympia expo over the weekend working the BSN booth probably answering awkward questions all day long.
I've been quoting that all morning. Ironic I found your comment saying that same exact thing.
Got to love Forrest Griffin even if he doesn't love himself. Nice man & great a fighter as Silva is - He fought a shadow Griffin
Lol mr 8 years old comment, no, silva embarrassed him. He was just on another level. Forrest is a legend in his own right and rightfully became LHW champion but silva outclassed him

Forrest is a great guy, I hope he finds whatever he's looking for.
LMAO, i love forrest griffin interviews, good stuff
I love Forrest!
Forrest Griffin is as real as it comes.
this interview is the first sign of a serious problem. He is not dealing well with losing. Everyone loses but he's letting the pressure get to him. When you pretend you don't care, it means you care way too much.
He said "Ludes" and Ludes is a drug that gives you a euphoric feeling and causes drowsiness. It also lowers the heart rate and relieves headaches.
forrest is just a real guy, anyone who leads a struggling life gets it. if i suddenly got fame and money i would be the same way
Well said.
strings-You know what Rich did? He congratulate it Anderson Silva, and he even went to train with Anderson Silva. I love his randomness and awkwardness, its hilarious.
Nov. 7th? Is he going to go fight him at Big Bear? The fight's the 21st
Forrest is a good fighter. He's not great in the technical sense, but he does put up good shows for the fans. He comes up and bangs every time. couldnt say it better my man
What does Forrest mean when he says he fought Anderson on loots?
Great Guy
this dude is the man
I never was a great fan of forrest, but he didnt diserve all these bad words. He often showed great heart and its sad to see him like that!
Despite my best efforts, I find myself liking Griffin.

does anyone know when and who his next fight is against?
pm if you's do.
Nice 1 Forest ur the man 4 that comment
in my opinion he's one of the best
1-tim sylvia
2-john cena
3-josh barnett
4-forrest griffin
5-matt hughes
6-kimbo slice
7-alessio sakara

haven't seen anything from Dave Farra in a good while, did he stop doing mma interviews?
I fail to understand why crying is such a big deal? He's a fucking professional fighter. he doesn't cry from the pain, but from the enormous amount of pressure he placed on himself. HAHA "It confuses me when other people seem to genuinly like me" oh my. one of the funniest quotes
what did he say he was on when he was asked what he thought of his fight with silva? loots?
amazing...that is all....love forest
Did ssome jogging after the anderson silva fight, classic. Still, gotta love Forest.
He's had that attitude since the Jardine fight.
Can someone tell me, what is loodez or smthing?
Hes like this in all his interviews ha hes funny as hell
There is no shame loosing to maybe the # 1 MMA fighter in the world ....I respect forrest for fighting him to begin with .

run forrest run!!
at 1:54 he's like oh god what do i say now.
Fedor walks around 230 - 240
Anderson walks around 215 - 220
He is actually a pretty big dude that cuts a lot of weight.
i would like to see forest vs franklin
holly shit he starts breathing hella heavily at the end
sounded nervous

wow, forrest
i agree 100%

lol @ Farra's face at 4:15
Damn! Silva's punch completely changed this dudes mind about fighting
"There's nothing to say, its not about talking, i thought it was a fighting sport"
WTFFFF??
you're a good man forrest. dont be so hard on yourself.
as if hes actually gonna read that...
Forrest vs Rich would be a cool fight.
That comment was me by the way. Wrong account.
Forrest Griffin is King. He does seem a lot different after Silvia knocked him out. He seems spacey and unfocused. I am looking forward to his return tho.
lol i think their actually really good friends cus ive seen that guy interviewing him a bunch of times and they seem like their friends
Dang, after that backwards jab from the "Spider" all his marbles came loose, Silva took him to school, then picked him up..!
:P
I agree with you. But I still stand by my own opinion.
He's going to WWE.
That's so cool
Forest just went through a jetwash and now his teammate Goose has died.
He has a confidence problem.
But they have to keep putting him up so he can get the edge back or the Soviets win.
you know, as much of jokster as he is i genuinely believe him when he said the thing about not liking himself and confused when other peple do...i think tat loss to silva was what you call a soul stealer, which sux becuz i genuinely believe he's a good man
ya anderson's striking is otherworldly..he appeared to be fighting in the matrix when he was dodging and ducking forrests punches
this guy is a dropkick
anytime anyone acts or talks differently then what is socially accepted people don't like it. It's the most basic form of anarchy. Kudos to Forrest for not giving a fuck.

couldn't agree with you more.
Yeah... But, you don't have to compare Forrest, or anyone to that matter, to Rich about having class. It's just good sportsmanship to congratulate a fighter on defeating you...
everyone is saying that he's acting a bit awkward or a bit weird. ITS FORREST GRIFFIN. All his interviews are a bit off. He's just a silly guy.
Wow, I think he's subliminally saying that fight was definitely fixed.
Umm... No, but I have heard of somebody who doesn't care about someone's reply to a comment on the internet for stating his opinion on a situation whenever he has the chance to speak his mind on a subject.
Forrest Griffin does not need to fight anymore. He's one KO away from turning into a slow Michael Scott from "The Office."
Exactly.
I didn't like forest before seeing this interview but now I really appreciate his personality! Funny dude!!!
"Imma jump over the cage and run out"
"people puttin alot of hopes and dreams on ya, get Tom Brady on your wall not me"
HA HA HA!!!
I don't know about the fight, but he certainly popped a couple of them "loods" right before the interview.
The interviewer got his ass with that jogging comment!
What the fuck, man. I was at UFC 101, and you really can't understand how freakishly good Anderson Silva is until you see him live. I don't think there is any fighter in the world that could beat him. Maybe Fedor, and that's only because he has 50 pounds on him. And that's maybe.

You ppl always talk down on Forrest
It's not like he talks trash
He said he thought Anderson was going to win
He also said that he's not the best of most decent fighter
but when he fights he gives it his all
I bet you one thing you can't beat him
The guy is funny and honest
Stop talking bad about him
And another thing stop making up excuses
for Rua
Forrest caught him get over it
hes gonna fight tito at ufc 106
Griffin's so nice lol
forrest has self confidence issues
im not an armchair psychologist, its just that i definitely see bits of myself in him. the funny guy front is an act, he seems very introverted.
Looks like he hasn't gotten over that loss. The interviewer was being pretty fair, IMO. I mean, everyone wants to know what his thoughts are on the loss. I guess he isn't ready to talk about it yet. He may never be.
