Fading Steps
- Set in guideline with clipper lever closed
- Lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 1.5, guard blend up
- Clipper over comb if needed
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard 3qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

Some people are scared to do the eyebrows, because they’re scared to cut the clients eyelids off, but one tip. Just remember it’s not your eyelids 😂😂. Great video love the content and the comedic bits.

Such a great video tutorial! One thing I struggle in school with is fading/blending. I know how to start the fade set my guidelines but when it comes to fading and blending I get stuck or scared. Definitely could use more videos like this.

When you use the clipper over comb which guard or which lever position do you use😊
Use Clipper Open or Close depending on your confidence level
But Sergio Always tell us to use the 1 guard if you are beginner

Ok now I’m embarrassed! I’ve been a cosmetologist (fast-paced shop doing primarily men’s cuts) for 10 years and never knew of the 1.5 guard.
I typically use Oster 76, but will try the Wahl you used…that is a clean fade.💖

The only problem I have is when I’m blending out the guidelines no matter what I do between the 1 and 1.5 there’s already a line and I can never seem to get it out even when using the 1 guard lever 3/4
Damn I’m sorry to hear that. But you should be able to take it out with either 1 guard at 3/4 or all the way open. If not with the 1.5 guard lever open since that’s what’s was used to create it if that makes sense. Sometimes it’s not the guard bro it’s how your blending it out you gotta build your intuition with understanding how to flair out and move the clipper in detailed ways to achieve a soft blend
