I had my fingers crossed she would say yes to Pineapple, haha! Urology is a field I would definitely be interested in. Thank you MCG Urology Augusta for allowing Andy into the OR and providing additional footage! I really like the idea of robotic surgery, and also remote robotic surgery that will be able to connect patients and physicians not only interstate across the country, but also to create a virtual global pool of specialists to meet the needs of the international community.
As a nurse I try to chart after every patient (if possible) and always after the day to make sure that people taking care of the patients after me know what's going on.

I'm an LVN and there's something about urology that makes me feel interested in it. I don't feel it's too complicated.
I appreciate Urologists especially. My dad had an awesome one that kept him alive and well for over 10 years with renal and bladder cancer and only one kidney

Although I always wanted to become an urologist, after my application for residency got accepted (I’m in Germany), I started to question my choice. But watching her loving what she does makes me feel much more confident in choosing urology. Thanks Andy!

@@Pranky700 I am no longer in urology. Changed to anesthesiology and intensive care medicine. Urology at a university hospital in Germany burnt me out immediately.

We need more females in urology, cz most male urologist ignore their male patients, speaking from experience, been suffering from mild erectile dysfunction nearly all life from since in my teens, im 35 now

Urologist are funny with jokes. I recently had a vasectomy & was put under general anaesthetic, i had my shoes on, when I was told to lie on the bed, the urologist, said when you make up, your shoes will be on ebay for £5. 😂 (joking obviously)

@@NDMD I'm not even remotely in the medical field or studying to do so! But Urology sure sounds fun.
She seems like a great Dr. Good questions and answers. Im not so sure how I would feel about someone who love "D-ck jokes", though, as she said. It is such a sensitive topic that many men never even approach a Urologist due to shame. And this sensitivity keeps them from going until it's too late sometimes. So, I don't think making jokes about intimate body parts, when you are a trusted person sounds good. I think it would make a visit even more humiliating. I don't want to know my Dr makes jokes about it.
I would be curious to know how big of a barrier shame and humiliation of an intimate procedure for men is. I imagine Urology has to deal with this far more due to the body parts/exposure and sensitivity of the types of intimate conversations that would need to take place. Im sure it is very hard for a make patient to even come in to talk about it. This must keep a lot of men from even seeking help.
I first thought in the intro that you had to be given security clearance to film in the OR 😆 my NS graduated from MCG…..any chance you’ll interview a neurosurgeon??

Hello ,
in 2022 I had a blind blockage of the spermatic cord. During the blockade I felt very severe pain. since then the testicle has been cut off. I don't feel a pulse in my cord. over time, the testicle shrinks. after two years, one third remained. the blood supply is from the seminal artery.
I have terrible depression and dull pain. abdominal obesity appeared. Can testicular atrophy be extended in time? this has been going on for over two years. Regards

@@donaldsperrazza1074 Yes. But there are no sexual issues dealt in OBG.... It's more or less pregnancy and prolapse etc... while urology has erectile dysfunction etc..... So urology is a bit promiscuous for females....
