- SMU and Pitt are both unbeaten in ACC play with a big showdown looming this weekend. The Mustangs should have lost to Duke--but didn't in a dramatic win. They have to clean things up to beat Pitt, and Virginia Tech should not be ignored yet either.

Great to see 2 very good teams play. I'm an smu fan but I am elated that the ponies are playing great teams like Pitt. Only downside, possible rain. Yuk
I do think you are wildly underestimating SMU's defense. When your offense turns it over 6 times and your defense gives 0 points off those turnovers, then I would think SMU has a pretty stout D. Pitt's win over Syracuse is not that impressive due to the fact that same team lost to a terrible Stanford team.
I love that everyone keeps pretending Pitt didn't play this last week. SMU survived 6 turnovers. Pitt created 5 turnovers against a far better Syracuse team. This is gonna be a good game, I think it's gonna be far closer then the talking heads are making it out to be. I do know that SMU looked undisciplined against Duke, they cannot look that way against Pitt or they will become another notch in the belt. This year has been wild.
It didn’t look good today
SMU and Pitt are both solid. SMU is insane at home
The thing about Pitt is this is a new offensive system with a rFR QB and lots of explosive playmakers. They've shown flashes, but have yet to click and play a complete game (not counting FCS YSU). It's probably gonna happen at some point this season. SMU is a really good team and I think being at home will give them a boost. Really looking forward to this game H2P!
Huh??? Pitt played complete games against wvu and Cincy even UNC
Go Ponies!
Go Pitt Panthers 🐆
Correction...6 turnovers vs Duke and still found a way to win.
0 points off 6 turnovers is a measure of strength!
As a Pitt fan i think that SMU is overrall better team, especially on home field they are super dangerous . But if Pitt find way to win this game as we always do this season,we should move close to TOP 10. This would be HUUUGE win for Pitt
I think that logically you are spot on. But realistically, I think that the reason SMU and pitt Are ranked where they are is because the rankings committee was looking ahead and and they need a pretense for keeping them out of the playoffs if possible.
Both teens are not one of the typical pretty girls at the dance. So unless they win the conference championship and the committee hast to give them a spot, they don’t want them there.
Pittsburgh has the exact same strength of schedule, and the same record as Penn State. SMU has won three point loss to the number 9 team in the nation. There’s no good reason why either should not be close to the top 10.
@@TimothyHolt-vh2hdalso in the SMU’s loss to Byu they had their second string QB playing. If this QB was playing SMU would be undefeated.

Pony Up 🐎 SMU
This dude speaks facts about VT and Pitt!
Facts are my native tongue
SMU turned it over 6 times technically, not 5 (with two additional fumbles that they recovered, lol). As an SMU fan though, I think going back home for the first time in a month, the energy should help compensate for the weird vibes we've had the last two weeks. At least that's the hope I have... your analysis is dead on though.
I can't count that high! Once you're off one hand I lose track
@@LockedOnCollegeFootball I don't blame you man. I'm still emotionally recovering.
Va Tech will not control their own destiny, even with beating Clemson.
Great teams win close games. if Pitt over the ball five times they will not win SMU overcame that
ACC is so good
What about pitt vs Cal. Did they look good there?
6 turnovers not 5
Hail to Pitt!
