    Removed a section in my camper where the entertainment area is and installed. Works great. Instead of propane furnace heat, I can use this th-cam.com/users/postUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo to heat the camper as long as it's hooked up to shore power. Only thing I do not like is there does not seem to be a thermostat. I'm presuming it has a built-in one so it does not overheat. Really like all the other color options it has to offer.

    What would the total approximate cost be to the Net Zero AFIre unit installed with a skinny table like the Dimplex one next to it? Are these tables custom designed by Embers?

    I prefer the look of the Dimplex flames but this one holds its own when you slow the speed down. It's really nice and should provide another option for those who want more customizable flame effects.

    Would have been nice to see the types of build up that can be done around it. I.e. Marble framing around the installation or some sort of brick work for the finished product.

    After seeing both brands, do you have a preference on which brand is the most realistic? I am interested in the Dimplex, but it’s been on backorder forever. I like the fact that it can crackle, but the color choices on this one are pretty cool.

    I live in Puerto Rico, and here humidity is king! So it safe to assume i would have a lot of mold issued with the dimplex, while i would have zero issues with the net zero due to the uvc implementation?

    If you want to increase the flame of the Netzero, you can do it manually by adjusting the regulator inside the fireplace. The new generation of Netzero has a larger flame while retaining the slow flame speed of the original. After filling up with water, Netzero can work continuously for 20 hours.
    You can compare by placing a tissue on the flame of Dimplex and Netzero and you will see the difference in a few minutes.
    Dimplex flames are based on the principle of hot air rising, so the flames are hot to the touch. Netzero's flame does not require heating, and the flame is room temperature to the touch.
    After long hours of work, children cannot touch the flames of Dimplex, but they can touch the flames of Netzero.
    They are two completely different flame technologies.

    Absolutely love this product!!
    2 questions…
    Firstly, I live in a fairly hard water area, how does that effect the operation and warranty, would it have to be softened / filtered water only?
    Secondly, you mentioned it has wifi capability and can be controlled from the app. Does that app have Alexa/Google integration set up yet to tie in with home automation?
    Thanks for the great review, I can’t wait to see where this leads over the next few years.

    • @embersliving
      @embersliving  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am unsure about Alexa integration. As far as the water goes. yes we have a filter on the end of our water supply before they enter the units. So just change that periodically and your good

    This is incredibly cool technology that I really like, but it needs some work before it’s mass-consumer ready. They need to be smaller and less expensive- I would love to hide one underneath and flush with the surface of a dining table, for example, but currently there will be a massive, noticeable block under the sides. I hope more people invest in these, the tech becomes better and the prices come down. It’s too cool to not have!

    Wondering how you feel about Dimplex at this point in time? We are trying to find best option for 15-20' linear fire like what you guys built, BUT Dimplex reviews and feedback from Fireplace Vendors on Dimplex is horrible. Horrible customer service and parts are taking 8-12 months??? We cannot have this in a commercial application. Feedback on Net Fire shown here or Afire seems to be our only options at this point?

    • @embersliving
      @embersliving  ปีที่แล้ว

      Dimplex has definitely gone through a rough patch. I just met with the guys in charge a few weeks ago, and parts are going to start being stocked. Also I would say your service is as good as the company you buy from. So we add an extra layer of support for you either way you go.
