Four Letter Word

Full moon on a summer night,
all the trees are shinning bright.
Last songbird is safe in bed,
sugar plums dancing in my head.
Sitting on the front porch, watching time go by.
All my hopes and prayers have been heard.
Wrapped inside the gift of a four-letter word.
Some of us giving up too soon,
We’re not all fed with a silver spoon.
You can help me find my way,
Let’s move on to a better day.
Forget all the reasons it might be too hard.
Help me to heal and then you will be cured.
