      Especially when multiple horns are sounding. There’s always slight variations in the tone of the horns that they almost make chords instead of notes.

    Amazing! This has got to be one of the most professional-looking hobby fire alarm systems I've ever seen. I never realized there were this many imitation 7002t's (the ones that appear to be 7002t's but have different names/numbers and aren't even Wheelock-branded)... all the same it makes perfect sense for some to be Fire-Lite brand as Fire-Lite BG-10 pulls were quite commonly used with them, and I do know that a lot of fire safety stuff gets rebranded often.

    Now you need to get some mechanical horns from the 1960's or earlier. Some of the old ac horns like the 4040, 4050, 4048, and the 4030. The 4030 is pretty damn loud.

    • @BlackLightning4547
      @BlackLightning4547  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The thing is that I don't collect AC notification appliances because I can't use them on my systems. I only buy alarms with the intention of installing them on the systems.

  • @SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL

    Love the sounds of those 7002Ts! And you could've said that the strobe is wired to the horn in series so that is why it skips and i knew that a long time ago bc I have watched a lot of videos on the 7002T. Btw i might get one soon bc there is lots of them on Ebay. And it is not really a surge that makes it skip, i think it is the current that the strobe capacitor needs to charge right after a flash so it takes power from the horn

    • @BlackLightning4547
      @BlackLightning4547  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Me too. Yeah I could've said a lot of things but I'm not going for perfection, I'm going for comprehension. But you should definitely get one when you have the chance. The skip is caused by the discharge of the strobe's conpassitor

    • @SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL
      @SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlackLightning4547 yeah i think those super caps for fire alarm strobes are old and draw more current then modern xenon strobes. And next tuesday i will film my very first tornado siren test! I will film a federal signal 2001-SRN in a park a few blocks from my house. Do you know anything about the outdoor sirens?

    • @BlackLightning4547
      @BlackLightning4547  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL It shouldn't draw more than modern strobes, those strobes(minis the WS) are less than 1 candela, it shouldn't be too much current, it's just the way they're made, they REALLY depend on that conpassitor in order to flash that strobe, but obviously fire alarms became more efficient than the good old days, and no, I don't know about sirens

    • @SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL
      @SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlackLightning4547 well thanks ! I didn't know that. And if you dont know much about sirens, here is some things about the 2001 siren. The 2001 siren is a three phase, 12 port electronechanical outdoor warning siren made by federal signal corporation. You can look it up google for more info, but here is what i know. The 2001 is also has a single tone, and there are other models of it, like the 2001 DC, 2001-SRN, 2001-SRNB, and the 2001-130 (i am recording a 2001-SRN). And there is another siren called The Equinox which looks like a 2001-130, but is 8 port and sounds like a 508 or Eclipse 8(SO dont get those confused! To identify them, look at the rotator decal, and it is located below the siren's projector). And also all 2001s rotate so everyone can hear them. They have one motor for rotation, and one for the rotor that chops the air at a certain frequency and produces sound we can hear.
