With the Corona virus lurking, how can one get a proper shade. I'm stuck between cool and neutral. I know my level, without a tan, is a 1. What is the second number, say 1C2, so what is the 2? Will a N work on a slightly cool face?
Yes N shades will work on someone with a rosy/cool skintone. It can even out the redness quite well actually. As for the numbers, the first one represents your overall intensity (aka if your skin is fair, light, medium, dark, etc) and the second number represents the value of that intensity. For example 1C1 is lighter than 1C2 despite being in the same intensity level overall, since the 2 represents a level 1 shade that is a little deeper. For online shade matching your best option is to look at shade swatches and compare with other foundation shades you use. Sites like allintheblush have some shade dupe charts which are handy. There's also findation where you can enter your other foundation shades and get shade recommendations based off of that. Hope this is useful 💗
