  • Hey ya'll! I filmed and refilmed this multiple times about post grad depression or post grad blues, my road to grad school and possibly no med school...for now lol. I don't know why I'm lowkey whispering throughout this whole thing lol but I hope you enjoy. Thanks for watching!

    I totally sympathize with low GPA. I went from valedictorian in high school, to 3.5 in community college, to graduating OSU with a 2.89..... the struggle is real girl!

    Omfg I love your personality! 😹 At least you being real. I follow by this quote: “everything happens for a reason” . Trust that these obstacles are there for you to work around and lead you to where you are meant to be! Nothing works out the way we imagine they would, and we grow as people throughout our careers. Trust what is being thrown at you and trust your instincts, don’t question yourself. :)

    I hope you will find peace away from home. Just stick it out, put your all into it, and finish with no regrets. You'll do fine! You made it this far for a reason!

    So I don't know what your plans are going forwards, and you've already started your masters (congratulations) but do know that a 3.4 is competitive for DO school (osteopathic doctor) and even though there is a slight stigma, I keep finding out that doctors that I know, that I never considered were anything other than MDs, are DO's. DO school is a bit less competitive, and the only significant difference/downside to it compared to an MD is that it is not as broadly translatable internationally, but if you want to practice medicine in the United States exclusively, then there is really no difference in your prospects of finding high paying, impactful work in hospitals and clinic along side MD's (and DO's), and no one will bat or eye or even think to know the difference. All the best, and know that a doctor with a masters in public health is real powerhouse. Your dreams, whatever they maybe, are definitely in reach with a 3.4 undergraduate degree in a challenging science discipline!

      I'm just seeing this. Thank you for your encouraging words! I have thought about getting a DO instead as well, but I'm still not sure as of right now what the best step is. I'm taking it one step at a time. Thank you again, this was well needed!

    I have a C now in organic 1 after the first exam and I don't know if I should take a W instead. I can get a 4.0 without organic chemistry since I am doing well in physics 1 microbiology and calc 2. let me know what you think.

    Hi Dana... I so so hope you see this I am a bio major in my first year .... I am so scared what If I do not get ino med school or I loose interest .. what and where can I work with my bio degree?

    • @danabelle7736
      @danabelle7736  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Vanessa! I hope you’re well! So one thing I’d suggest here is to not disqualify yourself even prior to applying to med school. You’re still in your first year so you have time to learn! I don’t want for you to prepare to not make it because I’m sure you’re more than capable of doing so. It may get tough sometimes but it’s doable. As far as if you lose interest, there’s so many option in the health field out there so what are your interests?

      Oh ok then try to go into the nursing classes needed, girl! My best friend is a travel nurse and I can connect you with her if you’d like. She probably has better info and advice than I can offer for that route. Email me at danabellephotos@gmail.com if you’d like!

    Don't give up. Try the medical school at UAB. They have MD-PhD programs. They also have a diversity and inclusion program. I can email yoy the lady's contact info that aids with enrollment.
