I have a Z5 and intend to buy the same 20mm f1.8 lens. Can you kindly share the exact settings you put into Manual mode when you took those shots please?
The settings are shown on the subtitles in the images, other than that there are probably 50 different menu item settings that could affect how the image comes out, I can't list all of them because some I have changed and some are default. There are so many variables that may or may not work for you. The settings I use have taken years of trial and error to arrive at. Unfortunately there is no short cut to that. Camera settings are only half of the story of equal importance are the settings I use when I edit the photographs.
Looks a lot of fun with that new lens! Any reason you cut the shots shorter at 13s? Might still be able to bump up to maybe 15-20s and avoid star trails 😁 that beer looks satisfying to have on a night out 😉 cheers buddy
Thanks, I was having trouble with star trails, it turned out to be the generic quick release plate for the tripod. The camera was twisting on the mount ever so slightly in portrait orientation I was a bit confused because I would normally expect to get a 20s exposure without star trails. All sorted now, got a new small rig L bracket so won’t be a problem any more with that set up. Yep that beer was good. Hope you are well and getting out with the camera!
@@focusphotonsfrugally6644 ah! I’ve encountered that issue as well 😅 took me a while to figure out it was the twist from the plate. Haha might be a while before I can really shoot again, but got some upcoming plans later this month! Keep safe bud. Catch you around.
ill be collecting mine today or tomorrow and ill have to suffer for the next two months
