- A full unabridged audiobook of the classic Christmas tale, "The Story of the Goblins Who Stole a Sexton", by Charles Dickens - complete with sounds and visuals.
"The Story of the Goblins Who Stole a Sexton" was published in 1836 as part of Dickens' series The Pickwick Papers. This story follows a Christmas chapter and is supposedly related by one of the characters. In the story, a grave-digger, determined not to make merry at Christmas, is kidnapped by Goblins and convinced to change his ways. Written about seven years before A Christmas Carol, this story contains some of the same themes and even some of the same examples that were shown to Scrooge.
Dickens began a tradition of Christmas publications with "A Christmas Carol" in 1843 and his Christmas stories soon became a national institution.

Wonderful!!!
Thanks so much for listening 🎧 ❤️
I have been thinking that it would be enjoyable if someone recorded this stand-alone story from 'Pickwick' for winter listening. I am only sorry that I have discovered it a little bit too late for Christmas. Thank you so much.
If you ever had the time to record the whole of the 'Christmas at Dingley Dell' chapters, that too would be delightful!
Hi Katy! Glad you found the story, and thanks for the recommendation. I’ll put it on the list for next Xmas 🎄
This shit good to fall asleep too, would also recommend asbjornsen and moe,Hans Christian Andersen, and the Arabian nights
Thanks for listening, Colton. Lots more of those to be found on the channel already!
I’ll have to check that out, thanks
Charles Dickens heavily plagiarized this story from two stories written by Mathew Franklin Whittier. The following paper explains:

An interesting read! Thanks for listening 🎧
An earlier work he liked and decided to expand upon into a novel. I like this one a lot though :) 🧟🧌😁
