    I want to start my business candle so I was checking candles videos. I like the way you talk in your video neither to fast or too slow. Is beautiful your studio. How long have you been doing candles? Can you make a video showing how to calculate the scent for different size of candles, please?

    • @SMELLTHISCANDLE

      Thank you! I use Soy 10 or Soy Bliss in my Essential Collection, Coco 83 in my Signature Collection and Coconut Apricot Creme in my Opulence Collection. I use my own blend in my Essential Collection wax melts and C55 in the 2 other collections wax melts. So, I stock a lot of wax. LOL

    What a beautiful space! I would love to know the dimensions. :) I’m currently setting up a space that is 10x12 with a large closet and it’s amazing how much can be done in a small space. Would love to see more content. Also, your chart that you created for all of your recipes... a video in that would be wonderful. Do you set it up fir 1, 2, 3 - 20 jars?

    • @SMELLTHISCANDLE
      @SMELLTHISCANDLE  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Thanks so much for watching. I think my space is a similar size to yours. I'm not 100% sure of the dimensions offhand. I've actually changed my space up tremendously over the past year, so I plan to do an update video soon. I'll also see what I can put together on my candle making worksheet. it really is super helpful.

    Hi I’m new to your channel,could you help out a beginner out could you share your measurement sheets for candles I am new to candlemaking and it’s so frustrating trying to figure things out wicks, wax….etc I just love your setup nice workshop.

    • @SMELLTHISCANDLE
      @SMELLTHISCANDLE  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much. Yes, I could share it with you, however it's all made for my vessels, wax, wicks, etc. Unfortunately, there's no way to skip that part. You have to do your own testing to find what works best for your vessel, wax and wicks. It takes time and patience and it's not cheap, but it's necessary to make a safe candle that burns properly and throws scent well. We all have to go through it, so we all understand your frustration. ❤

  • @dandee28
    @dandee28 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    hey bro love your video. Cool to see another dude doing it. I've been testing for 1.5 yrs now and ready to launch soon. What are some things I should watch for? Im stuck on shipping and going with a designer or use my own designs. Are you doing well for yourself since you started?

    • @SMELLTHISCANDLE
      @SMELLTHISCANDLE  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey. Thank you! I started candle making at the beginning of this year (2022). I create my own boxes for my business, as designer boxes are too expensive for me at this point. I started selling candles around April of this year and I feel like I've done pretty good. If I can recommend anything, it's GO. Just start now. You're ready. Sell some candles. Get some feedback from real customers. Good luck with everything.

    • @dandee28
      @dandee28 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SMELLTHISCANDLE thats crazy! im in canada, where do you mainly sell your candles? would you be able to share what boxes I can use to fit 8oz and 10oz glass jars? i don't know the most convenient way and least cost method to ship them out. Honestly everytime I want to launch, I have so many thoughts go through my head and then hold off for months again even though I've gone through so much testing everyday for the past year and a half

    • @SMELLTHISCANDLE
      @SMELLTHISCANDLE  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dandee28 I sell online thru my website and I also sell in my salon to clients. I get my boxes from Uline. I box my candles individually in the 3x4 gift boxes for my 8oz and 4x4 for my 13 oz candles. I keep multiple sizes of shipping boxes to accommodate various size orders. 6x4x4 is a great size for shipping a single candle. I know it can be intimidating, but if you've truly tested for over a year, you have to have great candles.... Right? So, snap some really good pictures of them, put them up somewhere for sale (website, Etsy, Facebook, wherever) and start talking about them. I'm confident that my candles are great and I truly believe they would be a great addition to EVERYONE'S home. So, my best advice is to just start. And talk about your candles to everybody. You never know where you will find your next customer. And the best learning experience is actual feedback from real people who are burning your candles. Good or bad feedback, you learn and grow from it and become more confident in your skills and product. And that first positive feedback from a customer will send you soaring and it just feels so good. Anyway, I've rambled on long enough. I really hope this helps you out. You've got this man.

    • @dandee28
      @dandee28 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SMELLTHISCANDLE thank you man, im nervous but I will go for it as soon as my jars arrive. Right now its just more testing and trying to decide on a final label and how to package and sip efficiently which I know nothing about.
