Good day Eric and dad, good to see you each day as you work on your farm and with the cows. That's a lot of work. Dad you still have lots of pep in your step with good speed to go with it. I'm 67 and can't run like that. I assume your much younger. I like how the barn is coming along. Eric your looking good as always. Looking forward to the Summer months and your work .Sincerely, Tom in MInneapolis.
It's starting to look like a barn! Been exciting to watch this build. Amusing cow chase. Those two were enjoying their vaca and didn't want to go back to work.
Hey, I thought I saw Clay Murphy sprinting across your barnyard.... nope that was just Dad. Love Your videos and it's so good to see families working together - especially 10 generations! What a great blessing.
And likely the best and strongest supporter of this channel. Keep it up Dad you're an encouragement to the rest of the folks out there that only wish they could be farming with their family.
I can’t believe how quickly the builders work. It’s great seeing the new barn go up. As a city slicker, it’s really interesting to see all the activities that are done on a farm especially some of the differences between practices on the video and here in New Zealand. I’m pretty sure that our cows are kept in the fields all year round. Thanks for the videos, really great to watch!
I noticed you have Amish working on your new barn, that is great they know how to work with wood, and glad it coming alone good for y'all, thank you for videos about your day on farm.
i always appreciate it when i see you using safety equipment (whether it's a mask, gloves or safety glasses) thankYou! i'm curious about your sorghum crop & think it is a gr8 little experiment. watching your dad run i see where you get your athleticism! keep up the great work...
Now friday the 4th i broke my arm in a atv accident so im missing out in the first cut. I have been waiting for you to upload a new video and herr it is, Nice to see your new cowshed is coming along. Keep up the good work Eric
We've grown sorghum a few times and it will grow up to 6 or 8 ft tall. I remember reaching out over the tractor fender and grabbing it while mowing. It sure us interesting stuff to mow.. it'll give your tractor something to think about. That's for sure
Good to see the new cow barn coming along real good Eric and that's always a good thing to wait to plant a crop especially when you're getting it custom harvested like you were talking about
Sorghum...for cattle feed, we called it "milo" in North Mississippi. Watched many acres go into the silos over the years. Just plain old "sorghum" when it was used to make molasses.
Much of the Grain goes to Pig feed. The forage is for Dairy and beef feedlots. Makes great catfish feed...It was first grown in Africa. The first hybrids were developed near Amarillo Texas in late 1950's.
Eric, you and your dad should take a lap around the new barn and see who is breathing the most heavily. Love the barn project. Glad they used laminated posts, they are much stronger and stable than solid ones. Thanks for a great video, peace till next time.
@@BrightRaven777 they most definitely are Amish. Being from the area, I can say beyond a doubt they are. While the mennonites of lancaster county dress similarly, there are many stark differences between the two.
You should share your extra masks with those lovely milk producing girls! They may give you a higher yield! Ha Ha! Thanks for the video. The new barn is looking great!
It will be good when you have the 2 barns connected. It will make shifting cows much simpler and less physical. I think you were definitely over the double yellow lines driving the seed drill to the other farm lol
I hope the sorghum works. We tried drilling in a stand into a hay field that wasn’t yielding well after 1st cut. We got about 3 plants/ acre that were knee high. I felt discouraged and disappointed. Good luck.
Planted sorghum Sudan grass myself this year for the first time. It's so dry I don't even know if it is going to germinate. Fingers crossed and I few extra prayers
I’ve got three 20 foot bar gates for sale if you want them for your new barn. Shipping would be interesting from Alabama though. Laugh Out Loud ! Great video ! Always love to see what’s going on and see the progress on the new barn. Can’t wait to see it in action but of course, no more than you are ! God Bless !
Speaking of sorghum, we double plant forage sorghum and corn. We drill in the sorghum and then turn around and plant corn. We have great feed for our milk cows. All of our corn silage is planted with sorghum. The only thing is that we can't have federal crop insurance because of the double planting. We live in Iowa. I hope it works out!
I just planted a half section field into Grain sorghum. I filled the planter with 10 bags of seed and 16 hrs later the planter still had seed left. If the rain is better than 10" normal this summer we will harvest 30,000 bushels from the 317 ac. seeding. Your seed came from here if grown for Alta seed in Amarillo Texas!
Are you using rebar? Or? Material and the concrete to keep it together when it cracks? You’re doing a great job young man! This disabled country boy Midwest Greatly appreciate you and your maturity and work ethic.
@Just Jake Why? Didn't they get done what they attempted and didn't it look like if it was in control? You know it's pretty disrespectful to be randomly bringing up/ comparing and so on, other TH-camrs on another TH-camrs wall, eh?
That's right ....let the young guy do the lifting and the running 🏃......nice.......wow when I found your channel you had about 3000subs,, Congratulations
Very good Cesar Milan impression there. Well timed. Yeah your dad is amazingly athletic. Running in work boots is no joke! Thanks for sharing

Hello Eric and family, God bless! The new building is looking great! I hope the cows are saying cool with all the record heat.
Love the new building getting so close to finishing. Keep up the good work
I’ve said before how amazing you are. So honest, so clear. Giving us a perspective of where our food comes from... you are fantastic!
Love this channel this one and Trinity Dairy are my favorites. Once the barn is done it is going to be sweeeet!!!
Your dad is the coolest guy... We can tell the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

"Look at the athleticism.". Love it. Your dad has it all, the speed, the skill, the drive. He'll be a top draft pick for sure.

I noticed you have Amish working on your new barn, that is great they know how to work with wood, and glad it coming alone good for y'all, thank you for videos about your day on farm.
They are more likely to be Mennonite. Not Amish.
That is so true also, still both kinds are great wood workers and barn builders,
First class barn you are building. I enjoy your videos.
The barn is looking great, I'm not sure how your dad does it. Great video as always looking forward to the next one. Stay safe
Building is looking amazing Eric 👌

It is very interesting to see how quickly the new cowshed grows and, above all, how it is built 👍👍
Looking very nice. Thanks for the update.
Its cool to see how other farms do things because then we can try some of them and see if it improves things around our farm. Keep up the great work.
I like how you designed the barn for the good of the cows not for what be easiest for you.
Thanks for another sweet video
No one builds like the amish do!!
Pretty sure they aren't Amish. You know, being photographed. More likely to be Mennonite.
@Michael Where and when is the last Amish building you've seen going up?
@@lightbulb1982 About 2 months ago. We have contracted an Amish guy and his crew to do multiple builds for us.
@@BrightRaven777 they most definitely are Amish. Being from the area, I can say beyond a doubt they are. While the mennonites of lancaster county dress similarly, there are many stark differences between the two.

Construction looking good. Exciting.
Dads still pretty quick!

Cows are beautiful animals; the coloring.
Those are some healthy cows. The new barn will be nice

Just love how he has no silly intros no asking to buy merch just straight into the vidoe I’d love to work on a farm
Dad rocks the shorts!!!
Nice job.
Your friend from. Iraq
Great awesome video Eric, we plant 30 acres of sorghum for silage to add to the tmr ration
We've been seeing a lot of sorghum grown down here in Maryland the past couple of years.
Amazing videos always amazing I love the videos
So you do have a hoof trimer, cool. Might want to do a video on that.
I like seeing barn progress
When I get the notification I instantly click on it I love the vids Eric keep up the good work
My finger goes supersonic
The upload caught me unawares today
Man the Amish do such great work. We just had our local Amish redo our milk barn.
This video is awesome

I have a feeling that's not their first barn build lol Cool vid.
They plant a lot of sorghum in Texas they call it milo
Is that the same stuff my granddad made syrup from?
Dad playing some free safety!
You’re going to be happy with that sorghum. Low inputs, good yield. Looks like corn, grows like beans.

Dear old dad can still move out like he's a spring chicken.
Great video. Only a man would call the last 2 months of pregnancy a”vacation”. Blessings
Hope his wife doesn't watch this, he might just get her opinion as to the last 2 months of pregnancy as a vacation....LOL

Sorghum gets around 8-15 ft. tall. On average, it’s gets around 11 ft. Tall in northern middle Tennessee. Dad still gets around quickly 👍🇺🇸👍
ERIC,
SORGHUM? You're growing whiskey? I thought whiskey had to be distilled.
Nothing I like better than a nice sorghum & 7.
!
That sorghum is some very itchy stuff
Enjoy it lol
Your farm must be near me in South Central Pennsylvania. I noticed your Messicks hat
6:54 oh so this is why my cousins just grain farm now. Lol
Building is going to be nice. They make the cement work look easy, which it’s not.
Your Dad runs great. I thought it was your little brother.
You need a Sonne Farms slappy to move the cows.
