@@Dirtycowwalloper Hi, the Yew tree is poisonous but most of the harmful toxins are in the seeds also in the bark and leaves. If your question relates more to the danger of turning Yew then I would always recommend that proper attention is paid to dust extraction as dust will be the major concern. Wear the best dust mask you can afford and whenever possible dust should be extracted out of the room you are working in. Woodturners often turn wood that is "poisonous" , Yew, Laburnum and Cherry are just three of what can be found in most localities. Just take the necessary dust precautions and you should be fine. Be aware that some people, children and adults will be more reactive than others so if you feel any effects like throat itching or difficulties in breathing then stop.
